Urdu for English

If I am allowed, I am going to criticize this thread a bit. I see it's very long - 237 pages. I study Urdu and consider it a very beautiful language due to the fact that it comprises Farsi, Arabic and Sanskrit in itself. But I don't think posting separate words in Urdu to be of much help for those studying Urdu. It would be of more help if you posted everyday useful phrases (I don't mean just very simple ones like 'hallo' and 'thank you') and would write them in Urdu script + transcription. Using this chance, I would like also ask dear Pakistani\Indian brothers some personal questions:
1. I cannot find any digital textbook of Urdu, except some published in the 19th century. Could you, please, show any link to one, or maybe you have it yourselves?
2. I would like to find a pen-friend interested in Russian and exchange language information with him\her

What if we continued the same, but something like this:

کیا آپ کو اردو آتا ہے؟ kya: a:p ko urdu a:ta: he? - Do you understand Urdu?

مجھے صرف تھوڑی اردو آتی ہے۔ mujhe sirf thoRi: urdu a:ti: he =?
 
aap ki tajviz tao kafi achi hai lekin mujhe Urdu mein Urdu likhna nahi aata. aap ne Urdu mein Urdu kis tarha likhi hai?

Pehle mere pass Urdu keyboard ka aik link huwa karta tha jo abb nahi hai.
 
If you have WindowsXP or Vista installed, it's no problem:

Go>Start>Regional Settings>Add languages writing from right to left (windows may ask you the CD, then put it in or show the place if it is on your hard disk)>add Urdu (if Vista, specify Pakistan)>assign keys for the keyboard (say, Ctrl+Shift+3)

Download an Urdu font for your own pleasure: Urdu Naskh Asiatype or Nastaleeq

Anyway, what do you think about my proposal concerning the game?
 
Mujhe aap ki tajviz se kulli ittifaq hai. Kissi aor ko Urdu aaye nah aaye, mujhe Angrezi zarur aa jae gi. :p

Kiya yeh game iisi dhage mein hi kheli jae gi ya phir aik aor dhaga banaya jae ga? :)
