I don't know whether its that famous or not but I read the first chapter and it seemed interesting.

pata nahi,maine shayad kabhi koi story book,syllabus ke alawa padhi hi nah...........THE KITE RUNNER (by khalid hussaeni) meri pehli kitab hai.
Lekin mujhe ek magazine pata hai,HILAL tumhare yahan bhi milti hogi.School me padhti thi.tum bhi padh lena :p
 
I read almost four books in english and maybe many more. Yeah i read to that urdu magazine named hilalbut i don't read it nowadays. :)

I did not read any urdu story books except those that were in the syllabus. But i saw some shows based on urdu novels

Inshallah! I have to read a lot of books maybe this holidays (one week only) :unhappy:.

I will read kite runner and one Urdu novel which our seeking_hidayah has recommended. :D

It is said that urdu is the sister language of the Arabic. There are examples of many illiterate pakistan who never learned to read or write but learning to read the Quran were able to read urdu as well. I've also seen a few arab who could read urdu since although they had no idea what they were reading .

on a side note, would anyone know where i could find info in urdu (audio, video or text) about how MIL is not wife's responsibility?
