Very important Question!!!

I find great difficulties in judging speed and distance of small objects thrown in my direction, especially if it is against an empty background like a ball high in a clear blue sky.

:cry:I'm sorry about the condition your eyes in:cry:

Unfortunately I do!

But this eye problem started way before I started smoking. Just the year before that the optician said I had perfect vision. One day, playing rugby at school, (I was the full back) the other side kicked the ball high in the air and it was my duty to catch it. I saw it rise in the sky and as I positioned myself to catch it I suddenly could not judge the depth. The ball slammed me in the face and I had to go back to the optometrist. He explained the weakness in my eye muscles. Told me to exercise by focusing on a tip of a pen and whilst moving it away from you and then back closer. So close range it is better but long range is still problematic.

On the veggies, I had so much carrots at one stage, I actually became more orange! My palms etc... ha ha.

Thanks for the tips, though. Stop smoking is on the agenda, will get round to it.:skeleton:

Peace

Your eyesight will be improved by glasses. So use glasses while reading my post. :)
By hanging your head upside down for a few minutes each day you will increase the flow blood to the head and face region. In addition to benefiting your eyes, this exercise can also be useful for promoting healthy hair and improving your skin complexion. :)

Many people say eating carrot cannot improve your eyesight ,it was an urban myth. :)
It is sad to hear you smoke. :(
How do you feel when you smoke cigarette? Is not it possible for you to give up? Why did you start smoking? Don't you know it is forbidden in Islam?

Peace x 100 :)

Stupidity is why I started smoking... I never wanted to listen and always want to find out for myself. Then I got hooked. I have found a way to stop but have not as yet summoned enough will power to get it going.

About it being forbidden, I hear it is strongly discouraged.

About how I feel when I smoke. In honesty, the feeling was worth it when I first started when I used to get the rush, now ony the first few puffs of the day. You don't get the same rush anymore.. so kind of does not do anything anymore. But the feeling I get when I don't smoke is something else :hmm:. Not sure many would want to be near me.... ha ha.

Somehow, the urge disappears when it's ramadhan or when I am on a long flight somewhere. But as soon as I am allowed to smoke again (at iftar or smoker's lounge) I am there! Disgusting. :hiding:

My other question is,

How do we know we all see the same color? As in, When I see a "
Red" object, how do we know that when someone else sees that object, they are seeing the same "Red" that I see, and not say a color that I might call "Blue" or "Green", and vice-versa? Basically, how do we know that the perception of a color is the same between two different individuals?
:hmm::confused:

Simple. We can't. Conscious experience is, at the end of the day, metaphysical.

Well, you're right in what you say. We can't know. The only way I can tell someone else what I mean by red is to show something red and say "the colour of this thing". But if the other person sees the colour as something else, that's what the other person will associate with "red" and assume I do too, and neither of us will ever know the other person senses the colour differently.
