Ansar Al-'Adl, you've provided very good reasons.

"Sudais - expressive of the meaning of the verses
Shuraim - deep smooth
Husary - Crystal clear and strong
Matrood - moving, emotional yet steady and flowing
Ayoub - hmm hard to describe, very active recitation
"

For Shaikh Mahmoud Al-Hosary, "clear and strong", that's probably the description I lacked. And another one is for Sudais "expressive of the meaning of verses". Very true. When listening to Sudais, without even understanding the arabic meaning, you can feel the atmosphere through the 'intonation'... raising and dropping of the voices.

I had completely forgotten Al-Matrood; he is a good reciter. I remember my sister had his cassettes.

And thanks for the new website Ansar Al-'Adl.

Riaz, he's also blew me away. He has a truly beautiful voice. I turned it off when I could no longer keep still on my chair!!

salams
Yes brother Ansar i do have a little bit more information which i would like to inform you.
He use to read in Masjid Nabwi for afew years but he has stopped reading in the last 2 or 3 years due to some reason.
Also when my dad went Haj 3 years ago he mentioned that he made salam with him and that he was very young and had a small beard.
But unfortunatly when i went umrah last year he wasn't there however i got to make salam with Huzayfi,Abdul Muhsen Al-Qasem,Thobaity, salah ul budair, sheikh SALEH, Sheikh Usama Khayat and Sheikh Sudais.
If anybody is going umrah and would like to know how to make salam to the imams please ask me .

sudais simply because he has become the "standard" when one talks about the quran! SubhanAllah! I mean if you just think about how the quran should be read then his voice quickly enters the mind.

Shuraim because his newer way of reciting is as if you are a little boy 7-8 yrs...and he is inviting you to listen to a story....subhanAllah! simply amazing....

btw brother osman IK isnt a sister lol.....trust me

:sl:

lol yes i am brother...how did u guess?

and yeah brother riaz hudayfi is mashAllah very good....If I am not wrong, he is among the shuyukh that where relied upon when printing the saudi mus-haf....incredible man mashAllah!

Yeah...Sheikh Al Talib is amazing mashaAllah. :) I also like Sheikh Shuraim and Sheikh Sudais. Lately I've been listening to Sheikh Budayr also.. He led once in Masjid Al Nabawi while we were there, and even though the other Imaams do read wonderful and uniquely, his really touches you.. Well like another member said, he is on a league of his own. I think Sheikh Shuraim is awesome live too..

Sister, you met Sheikh Al Talib? How...? And in Makkah...?

yess. i met him last month when i went to makkah to do hajj. my friend told me that if you want to meet the imaam you have to wait at gate no 5 or 6 in haram masjid. so i waited there after marghrib then i saw him ( sheikh saleh). he looked at me too but i dont know what to say because i cannot speak arabic. he's quite good looking. :teeth: :teeth: but i wonder how old is he.? do you know?
