Ar-Raashid his voice is beautiful,masha'Allah. May Allah bless him and

grant him jannah ameen. Also you were saying about different

voices,yes it is only him,maybe its from different years,Allahu

Alam,Allah knows the best. I love his sura fatiha it is awesome.

Shokran akhi... you think it is because of different yrs?

very few people can recite in such a way to reduce you to tears... I absolutely love suret yousef when he gets to the part ...

قَالَ بَلْ سَوَّلَتْ لَكُمْ أَنفُسُكُمْ أَمْرًا فَصَبْرٌ جَمِيلٌ عَسَى اللّهُ أَن يَأْتِيَنِي بِهِمْ جَمِيعًا إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْعَلِيمُ الْحَكِيمُ {83}
وَتَوَلَّى عَنْهُمْ وَقَالَ يَا أَسَفَى عَلَى يُوسُفَ وَابْيَضَّتْ عَيْنَاهُ مِنَ الْحُزْنِ فَهُوَ كَظِيمٌ {84}
قَالُواْ تَالله تَفْتَأُ تَذْكُرُ يُوسُفَ حَتَّى تَكُونَ حَرَضًا أَوْ تَكُونَ مِنَ الْهَالِكِينَ {85}
قَالَ إِنَّمَا أَشْكُو بَثِّي وَحُزْنِي إِلَى اللّهِ وَأَعْلَمُ مِنَ اللّهِ مَا لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ {86}
يَا بَنِيَّ اذْهَبُواْ فَتَحَسَّسُواْ مِن يُوسُفَ وَأَخِيهِ وَلاَ تَيْأَسُواْ مِن رَّوْحِ اللّهِ إِنَّهُ لاَ يَيْأَسُ مِن رَّوْحِ اللّهِ إِلاَّ الْقَوْمُ الْكَافِرُونَ {87}​

You can sense such surrender and resignation, as if you can fully identify with Jacob PBUH--- and yet he tells his sons not to give up on Allah's mercy... oh I just love this surah...

Perhaps, you are right...maybe his voice has grown through the years, but my sense, is he has the ability to relay to you what he is reciting... I know he might not have the most (3athib) voice, but his is very versatile and conveying....

I might be completely wrong here, but maybe the reason why he is not in the poll is because most people might not have heard of him or his recitations. I certainly did not know of him until i followed your links in another post. He certainly is a superb recitor.

I was suprised that Qari Ziyaad Patel was not on this poll either. I believe he is simply outstanding, but i think the same thing applies here with him, maybe he is not that well known.

He was in Blackburn on the weekend and he stayed at my dad's friends house and i had the chance of meeting him!

No as far as i know there was no event but he's a friend of my dad's friend :)
Mashallah he came with his wife and he stayed at their house for the weekend!
