its obvious you guys havent herd the sweet melodious voice of saad al ghamidi subhanallah wen he reads surah al ghashiya you just get caught by his sweet voice straight away....if you guys wanna a webpage of every knwn recitor go to www.islamway.com click on to dariqul islam on the top right corner of the page,,,,1st go dwn to saad al ghamidi and have a preview of surah al ghashiya...tell me wat u think!!!! woohooo saaad rules/.....hes also a nasheed singer...wat a talent

That's a beautiful surah recited beautifully by al-Ghaamidi, who was one of the five I voted for, by the way. I didn't know he was a nasheed singer though. My younger brother has a nasheed on his iPod thingy that says Saad al-Ghaamidi, but I thought it was some other fellow. Must have been the sheikh, I suppose. Salaam and take care.

mashallah maybe SAS deserves to be top as he was the top imam for mre than a decade, but others like SB and SS are not that far behind, in fact they are closer to SAS than we think

:offtopic: I am sure they respect each other and consider the other better then the other. Dont see why this kind of conversation should continue. They are both Imams of the Haram, they deserve it and they are equal. And please dont take this in a bda way sister Ameeratul layl, but please do not type the names of these respectable imams like: shuraimeee or sudaisi. First you dont say Shiekh before their name (i do that too), but please dont say their name in that way. The are very deserving of respect and that is not the weay to say it even though you may really love them.
Just my 2 cents Inshallah.

a brother told me once that he hates SS, SAS, SB etc becasue they are too proud and the way they walk as if they own the place. he said they walk with their heads held up high, and walk as if they are so big physically
i totally disagreed with this brother because i feel these blessed imams have earned their status as imams
he said all SS and SAS do is lead, and eat as much as they can and thats why they are so fat! he said they don't do anything apart from leading, i said they have other jobs too, he said do you have any proof? do you have a picture of SS in a court as a judge?
i totally disagreed with this bro who is 30+ years old

Subhanallah! What a horrible thing to say about them. That brother should know better. What could be more blessing then leading the people in prayer in the most holiest masjid. What a hard work it is. For these shaykhs to lead the prayer is enough job for them! Sure they have other resonibilies like taking care of their families.

obvioulsy they have other jobs too as well as their own family to look after
yes mashallah huge amount of pressure is on them to lead millions of people in taraweeh everyday, it is really hard but they are mashallah very experienced

i told him many things like did you know the prohet SAW used to have a cloak over his shoulders during prayers, thats why you see most sheikhs have a cloak (bisht) over theri shoulders, they walk fast becasue our prophet SAW used to walk fast, i think our prophet use to wear an aqeeq ring and even SS wears an aqeeq ring on his small finger
i told him many things, just don't know whether he understood.
