In Indonesia I never heard (or not yet) internet for PC or laptop with 40Mbps connection speed.
Like F1 cars, maybe

Laaaaaaaaaaaaasst time you would have tried with a classic browser ..without getting a internet connection.... so it would have taken years ....would have loaded after someone advised you for a connection.... :giggling:

In India the max speed offered (to my knowledge) to Residential Users is 16Mbps...but its costs a lot...around 6000 INR/Month. I have a 2M connection which costs 500 INR/Month with 2.5GB FUP Limit.

^ I don't really care about upload/download speed as long as i can access websites to read.

you know the maximum speed in lebanon is 2mb up and 1mb down with a limit of 8gigs down and 8 up.....for 200$ a month:(

if you exceed the limit they will charge 10$ for each extra gig down or up:(

so i'm on 256 down and something up... for 40 dollars a month....monopoly i swear

Not for 1 gigabytes per second connection speed I think, but up to 1 gigabytes download per month.

But 5 dollar for 1 gigabytes is very cheap. I don't understand, Korean worker salary is higher than Indonesian, but how can they sell internet connection in this price ?.

That's not cheap. In the UK most plans are unlimited so you pay a fixed price a month and can download as much as you want.

Brother Aadil was correct (it is 1 gigabytes per second, not 1 gigabytes download)
South Korea has the best (and fastest) broadband connection in the world.
Their government developed very extensive fibre optic networks and subsidized initial infrastructures.
