We may never see tomorrow,
there's no guarantee
And things that happened yesterday
belong to history.

We cannot predict the future,
We cannot change the past,
We just have the present moments,
We must treat it as our last

We must use these moments wisely
for soon it will pass away,
and be lost forever,
as part of yesterday.
We must strive to make ourselves compassionate,
& help the fallen to their feet,
Be a friend to the friendless,
make an empty life complete.

The unkind things we do today
may never be undone,
And friendships that we fail to win
may nevermore be won.
We may not have another chance
on bended knees to pray,
and we should thank Allah ( swt) with a humble heart
for giving us this most precious Day.

“Live each day as your last! You never know when Allah (swt) will call you home!!”

nice poem reminding me once more not to take life youthfulness for granted. That's one problem the youth faces, waisting time.

Mahallah nice poem sister.

Here is a sample of some of the poems that I have written. Inshallah I will be submitting all of my poems on MWS.

Muhammad’s Madina

I journeyed through the golden arabian sand
To reach the sacred and promised land
A city of dates and of luscious palm trees
Al-Madina, a treasure from Allah’s bounties

As I wandered through the tranquil night
Heartfelt tears flowed for what was in sight
The splendour of the majestic green dome
Awakened my desire to call Madina ‘home’.

The spectacle of where the sacred mosque lies
Within it is a garden from the gardens of paradise
Al-Madina where the beloved of Allah rests
The city of the prophet where love and brotherhood nests

Al-Madina’s air - a fragranced sweet breeze
The heart so content and the mind at such ease
An oasis and a sanctuary of peace and security
Blessed in it’s way of life with perfect harmony

I pray for Allah’s beloved for him to intercede
For I am a sinner with scarcely a good deed
May Allah grant my yearning desire
To die and be buried in Muhammad’s Madina

Muhammad Mustafa (SAW) - The prophet of Islam

With the birth of Muhammad did Arabia awake
The lake of Persia ran dry and palaces of Kisra shake
Extinguished was the 1000 year old raging fire
Mustafa’s birth - end of the Roman and Persian Empire

Of the noble tribe, the Banu Hashim was he
Orphaned young – raised by his paternal family
A herdsman and as a merchant he was successful
Al-Amin and As-Sadiq, the trustworthy and faithful

His honesty, integrity, patience and purity of life
Appealed to the great lady Khadijah who became his wife
Gentle and kind hearted with a life of such simplicity
Muhammad, a model of compassion and humility

He assisted the poor, the needy, the widow and orphan,
He bore the burden of the slave and the downtrodden
He nursed the sick with tender loving affection
Muhammad Mustafa and example of human perfection

At the age of 40 in Hira he received his prophecy
To preach Oneness of God and his absolute authority
The faithful amongst them accepted his invitation
The stones, trees and animals hymned his glorification
He ensured hardships in the path of truthfulness
Stoned, accosted and mocked for his forthrightness
He migrated to an oasis – now known as Al-Madina
From here Islam was spread by the prophet of Arabia

Today he is loved and honoured by over a billion
The greatest of men who preached the greatest of religion
Each day his name is declared by those near and far
Laillaha illalah muhammadur rasulullah

A preacher and warrior who overcame every hindrance
A mercy to mankind and a pure light of guidance
Peace and blessings on him, the most perfect believer
The seal of the prophets who left the Quran and Sunnah

May Allah (SWT) accept our humble efforts. Aameen.
Wassalam - Your brother in Islam.
