Assalamu alaikum, this question was presented to me by a female (who is affected) close to me and I found it difficult to answer because, while I know the answer in the case of if its a male who is affected, I'm not sure of the answer if its a female who is affected, hence my relating the question here for clarification. The case is as follows:
"After a late-night session of tahajjud followed by sahur and fajr prayer (this happened during this Ramadhan), I was exhausted enough to take a nap around mid-morning. During that map, I had a wet dream which woke me up. My questions include:
1. Is my fasting compromised or not; do/can I continue the fasting?
2. Do I need to perform ghusl after waking up to the realisation that I had a wet dream during my nap?
I look forward to your response so that not only can I add this to my knowledge, but so that I can also inform the female close to me, so that she can be educated as well. Jazakallah khairan."
