I really want to meet the Prophets peace be upon them, I want to meet the Prophet's wives. I want to be all good, and care free! Sip on some halal wine and enjoy myself, you know? And most of all, I would LOVE to see Allah. Meet my family and possibly family from before (great grandparents etc;)

this is jannah we are talking about, not the dunya...the taste of the wine you cannot imagine, pepsi will be nothing there.

SubhanAllah :cry:may Allah make us of the people of Jannah!!!

There is a good friday sermon(khutbah) by sheikh saalih aal talib the imam n khateeb of Masid Al haram makkah about paradise n its delights .. pretty detaiked n he ended it with the MEETING OF ALLAH... ohh just beautifull .
He broke down in tears when he reached the part ...

And when they are like that, all of a sudden a light shines that encompasses
all of Paradise. So, they raise their heads, and, behold: the Compeller -
Exalted is He, and Holy are His Names - has come to them from above them and
majestified them and said: 'O People of Paradise! Peace be upon you!' So,
this greeting will not be responded to with anything better than: 'O Allaah!
You are Peace, and from You is Peace! Blessed are You, O possessor of
Majesty and Honor!' So the Lord - Blessed and Exalted - will laugh to them
and say: 'O People of Paradise! Where are those who used to obey Me without
having ever seen Me? This is the Day of Increase!

May Allh protect him n reward him for the beautiful khutbah , i think its available on youtube , always wanted to translate it but cant get the time to do so , InshahAllah will try to translate it.

Assalam O Alikum

Muslims will get to see their lord in Jannah InshahAllah.

Ahmad ibn Nasr Al-Khuza'y was martyred for believing Allah will be seen and that Quran is the word of Allah by Al wathiq the caliph at that time.

Al-Wathiq again asked: What do you say about your Lord? Will you see Him on the Day of Resurrection?

So he replied: O Amir Al-Mu?mineen, that is how it has come in the Quran and the narrations, as Allah has said: {(Some) faces, that Day, will be radiant; Looking at their Lord} [Al-Qiyamah: 22-23], And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ?Verily, you will see your Lord, just as you see this moon, you will not be impaired in viewing him? [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. So we are upon what we have been notified (by Allah and His Messenger).

It is also narrated that he went to see the caliph wearing haunt an dthe white sheets know as kafn.

So yes the true Aqeedah is that people of paradise will get to see Allah and this is the biggest reward in paradise , the people of paradise will foget al the other delights when they will get to see His Face subhanahu wa taala. Check The description of paradise where Ibn Al qayyim describes Meeting with Allah.

Volume 9, Book 93, Number 532s:

Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri:

We said, "O Allah's Apostle! Shall we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection?" He said, "Do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun and the moon when the sky is clear?" We said, "No." He said, "So you will have no difficulty in seeing your Lord on that Day as you have no difficulty in seeing the sun and the moon (in a clear sky)." The Prophet then said, "Somebody will then announce, 'Let every nation follow what they used to worship.' So the companions of the cross will go with their cross, and the idolators (will go) with their idols, and the companions of every god (false deities) (will go) with their god, till there remain those who used to worship Allah, both the obedient ones and the mischievous ones, and some of the people of the Scripture. Then Hell will be presented to them as if it were a mirage. Then it will be said to the Jews, "What did you use to worship?' They will reply, 'We used to worship Ezra, the son of Allah.' It will be said to them, 'You are liars, for Allah has neither a wife nor a son. What do you want (now)?' They will reply, 'We want You to provide us with water.' Then it will be said to them 'Drink,' and they will fall down in Hell (instead). Then it will be said to the Christians, 'What did you use to worship?'

They will reply, 'We used to worship Messiah, the son of Allah.' It will be said, 'You are liars, for Allah has neither a wife nor a son. What: do you want (now)?' They will say, 'We want You to provide us with water.' It will be said to them, 'Drink,' and they will fall down in Hell (instead). When there remain only those who used to worship Allah (Alone), both the obedient ones and the mischievous ones, it will be said to them, 'What keeps you here when all the people have gone?' They will say, 'We parted with them (in the world) when we were in greater need of them than we are today, we heard the call of one proclaiming, 'Let every nation follow what they used to worship,' and now we are waiting for our Lord.' Then the Almighty will come to them in a shape other than the one which they saw the first time, and He will say, 'I am your Lord,' and they will say, 'You are not our Lord.' And none will speak: to Him then but the Prophets, and then it will be said to them, 'Do you know any sign by which you can recognize Him?' They will say. 'The Shin,' and so Allah will then uncover His Shin whereupon every believer will prostrate before Him and there will remain those who used to prostrate before Him just for showing off and for gaining good reputation. These people will try to prostrate but their backs will be rigid like one piece of a wood (and they will not be able to prostrate). Then the bridge will be laid across Hell." We, the companions of the Prophet said, "O Allah's Apostle! What is the bridge?'

He said, "It is a slippery (bridge) on which there are clamps and (Hooks like) a thorny seed that is wide at one side and narrow at the other and has thorns with bent ends. Such a thorny seed is found in Najd and is called As-Sa'dan. Some of the believers will cross the bridge as quickly as the wink of an eye, some others as quick as lightning, a strong wind, fast horses or she-camels. So some will be safe without any harm; some will be safe after receiving some scratches, and some will fall down into Hell (Fire). The last person will cross by being dragged (over the bridge)." The Prophet said, "You (Muslims) cannot be more pressing in claiming from me a right that has been clearly proved to be yours than the believers in interceding with Almighty for their (Muslim) brothers on that Day, when they see themselves safe.

They will say, 'O Allah! (Save) our brothers (for they) used to pray with us, fast with us and also do good deeds with us.' Allah will say, 'Go and take out (of Hell) anyone in whose heart you find faith equal to the weight of one (gold) Dinar.' Allah will forbid the Fire to burn the faces of those sinners. They will go to them and find some of them in Hell (Fire) up to their feet, and some up to the middle of their legs. So they will take out those whom they will recognize and then they will return, and Allah will say (to them), 'Go and take out (of Hell) anyone in whose heart you find faith equal to the weight of one half Dinar.' They will take out whomever they will recognize and return, and then Allah will say, 'Go and take out (of Hell) anyone in whose heart you find faith equal to the weight of an atom (or a smallest ant), and so they will take out all those whom they will recognize." Abu Sa'id said: If you do not believe me then read the Holy Verse:--

'Surely! Allah wrongs not even of the weight of an atom (or a smallest ant) but if there is any good (done) He doubles it.' (4.40) The Prophet added, "Then the prophets and Angels and the believers will intercede, and (last of all) the Almighty (Allah) will say, 'Now remains My Intercession. He will then hold a handful of the Fire from which He will take out some people whose bodies have been burnt, and they will be thrown into a river at the entrance of Paradise, called the water of life.

They will grow on its banks, as a seed carried by the torrent grows. You have noticed how it grows beside a rock or beside a tree, and how the side facing the sun is usually green while the side facing the shade is white. Those people will come out (of the River of Life) like pearls, and they will have (golden) necklaces, and then they will enter Paradise whereupon the people of Paradise will say, 'These are the people emancipated by the Beneficent. He has admitted them into Paradise without them having done any good deeds and without sending forth any good (for themselves).' Then it will be said to them, 'For you is what you have seen and its equivalent as well.'"

IBn Al qayyim's meeting with Allah.

And if you ask about the Day of Increase (in reward) and the visit of the all-Mighty, all-Wise, and the sight of His Face – free from any resemblance or likeness to anything – as you see the Sun in the middle of the day and the full Moon on a cloudless night, then listen on the day that the caller will call: ‘O People of Paradise! Your Lord – Blessed and Exalted – requests you to visit Him, so come to visit Him!’ So they will say: ‘We hear and obey!’

Until, when they finally reach the wide valley where they will all meet – and none of them will turn down the request of the caller – the Lord – Blessed and Exalted – will order His Chair to be brought there. Then, pulpits of light will emerge, as well as pulpits of pearls, gemstone, gold, and silver. The lowest of them in rank will sit on sheets of musk, and will not see what those who are on the chairs above them are given. When they are comfortable where they are sitting and are secure in their places, and the caller calls: ‘O People of Paradise! You have an appointment with Allaah in which He wishes to reward you!’ So they will say: ‘And what is that reward? Has He not already made our faces bright, made our scales heavy, entered us into Paradise, and pushed us away from the Fire?’

And when they are like that, all of a sudden a light shines that encompasses all of Paradise. So, they raise their heads, and, behold: the Compeller – Exalted is He, and Holy are His Names – has come to them from above them and majestified them and said: ‘O People of Paradise! Peace be upon you!’ So, this greeting will not be responded to with anything better than: ‘O Allaah! You are Peace, and from You is Peace! Blessed are You, O possessor of Majesty and Honor!’ So the Lord – Blessed and Exalted – will laugh to them and say: ‘O People of Paradise! Where are those who used to obey Me without having ever seen Me? This is the Day of Increase!’

So, they will all give the same response: ‘We are pleased, so be pleased with us!’ So, He will say: ‘O People of Paradise! If I were not pleased with you, I would not have made you inhabitants of My Paradise! So, ask of Me!’ So, they will all give the same response: ‘Show us your Face so that we may look at it!’ So, the Lord – Mighty and Majestic – will remove his covering and will majestify them and will cover them with His Light, which, if Allaah – the Exalted – had not Willed not to burn them, would have burned them.

And there will not remain a single person in this gathering except that his Lord – the Exalted – will speak to him and say: ‘Do you remember the day that you did this and that?’ and He will remind him of some of his bad deeds in the Worldy life, so he will say: ‘O Lord! Will you not forgive me?’ So, He will say: ‘Of course! You have not reached this position of yours (in Paradise) except by my forgiveness.’

So, how sweet is this speech to the ears, and how cooled are the righteous eyes by the glance at His Noble Face in the Afterlife…

{Some faces that Day will be shining and radiant, looking at their Lord…} (al-Qiyaamah:22-3)

I am not a Muslim and my concept of Heaven seems to be somewhat different from the Islamic view of Jenna, but I agree that being in the immediate presence of God and being able to see him must be the most wonderful thing of all! :statisfie

To make it into Jannah at all?
I really wonder if I will ever be worthy enuff to make it.

Yanoorah & Yanal, As I notice from your posts, you have maintained the correct humility,
and this is what Islaam teaches. Imaan is between Fear and Hope. Someone has correctly said that Hope without action (Amal) is a wish. But then Good deeds alone will not be enough to enter Jannah. It is Allahs Grace alone that will get us into Jannah. All of us should continue our Amal, and Look towards Allahs Grace with fear and Hope.
Allah Forgive us all and may we all be in Jannah Because of Allahs Grace. Aameen.

Just being at peace and not having to worry about the day to day life we have here

Out of interest, will it be permitted to eat pork in Jenna? :?

I don't know, but it could be. We know for example that muslim men aren't allowed to wear silk or gold in this world, but will wear it in Jannah. We also know that muslims aren't allowed to drink alcohol in this world, but there will be a similar drink in the hereafter (although it won't have the negative effects of alcohol). So it could be that there will be pork in Jannah. And if there is, it probably would be without the negative side-effects. We simply don't know...
