O my god, subhanallah.... i was crying whilst reading that
i don't know whether it was due to the fear of death itself, or the fear of the suddeness of it which will undoubtably lead to dying with regrets.... (as many of us are not prepared for at at the mo)
Or maybe its because of the reality of it...
Whatever it is, im sure that with righteousness, fear & love for Allah, hope for his reward and fear of his punishment and pure trust in him comes the tranquility of the heart, giving the strengh & preparing the believer for absolutely anything.
Thats proberly why we fear death, because we havent FULLY prepared for it.
Just like a student who revised well for an exam would go into the exam hall with confidence and looking forward to doing his best.
While on the hand a student who did not revise good and cramped last minute revision into an hour before the exam will proberly dred going into the exam hall, because he knows he will proberly fail because of the lack of effort made.
Similaly, if we prepare well for the akhira.............we will go into it with confidence (inshalllah), knowing that we tried our upmost to obey the command of Allah and please him, while at the same time having full confidence and faith in his justice.
