The Headmaster and the Headscarves
Documentary examining France's controversial law banning religious symbols from schools, which has provoked outrage from its 15 million strong Muslim community. It follows a group of veiled girls at a Paris school who decide to resist the new law in defiance of its headmaster and captures the anguish of schoolgirls, teachers, and authorities as they grapple with rules which threaten to inflame the tensions they were designed to calm.
