You can't affect change from the outside.
And anything I learned about materialism, modesty or humility came from different stages within life..
Not when I screwed up my graduation in 2006. My profession is far from perfect.. that worried me a little.. and I genuinely thought Allah swt would provide a different path for me when I made that choice.
And I struggled for a decade.. really struggled.
I agree that the chains are of our own making.
But I see them differently.. they are chains of responsibility..
But if you already have a roof over your head and food on your table.. have already been to school for however long they kept you..
Then I suppose you can escape the capitalist system, can't you?
What's the point of it all?
The systems of men are far from perfect, for them to retain integrity, morality, ethics ...as they grow...from bottom to top ..is almost an impossible ask.
But one thing is for certain.
PROGRESS.
Yes there is so much to learn from being away from the place.
And even more from trying to get back into the place.
..the only difference between you and the elitists is that they know what they want and they work towards it.
If you were in charge the underclass would simply be judged by different criteria.
But it is Allah swt that raises and lowers.
And having nothing is not the same as having peace.
...just going to watch your video and see how off topic i was.
Edit..
Start off video, I was a shop keeper once. Long hours and working alone.
Once I got robbed.
I called my brother who was close and by the time I he got here the thief drove past again.
We caught him in a car park not too far way and his driver just left him there.
We didn't do anything to him and ended up giving him a lift back to where he was staying.
..he said that I can't be that clean if he was here robbing me.
And I agreed. My pride was hurt but it was all just too cliched.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that when fear of Allah swt replaces worldly fears. Things change.
O you Prophet, exhort the believers to the fight. In case there are twenty of you, patient (men), they will overcome two hundred; and in case there are a hundred of you, they will overcome a thousand of the ones who have disbelieved for that they are a people who do not comprehend.
..it doesn't have to be a literal fight, but in terms of the fear imposed by men as the video says... it is entirely relevant I would think.

..so far it just seems like spin on data.
The fact that the pope got a few seconds of time is a sly jab at religion also being a "farm" or "system".. your not an anarchist are you?
I suppose that's the end of my blog post anyway, I can't agree with its take on history, society and religion.
I can't agree with it's take on death, fear and oppression..
It's easy to look at places undergoing civil war and genocides and say how wronged we as Muslims are.
And my only response is that we need to grow up.. every day carries on from the last..
And if you say that the world imposes fear on me or hunger on me or deprives me of my rights..
And I feel I should turn my back upon it.
...It's always been the same.
Verily, We shall put you to test with some fear, and hunger, and with some loss of wealth, lives, and offspring. And (O Muhammad) convey good tidings to those who are patient, who say, when inflicted by hardship, "Verily we are of God and verily to Him shall we return;" upon them is the blessings of Allah and His mercy. (2:155)
Honestly, the only fear of the world is the cost of living.
The cost of progress.
...would have been on about 20 quid per hour.. different chains for different folks.. it doesn't irk me.. I just would have thought differently about tomorrow.. and put forward something different today.
