The reason why football is sooooooooo popular is because of it's universal practicality. That you can take your jacket off and set up a pair of posts and all you need is a football. Compared to Basketball you need the hoops, best played on an ideal surface, etc. Lol respect to basketball I love playing nba court side on my x-box, but it'll never beat fifa!

Advantages of soccer over basketball
1.there is no height discrimiation :p
2.its a cooler sport tht can be played in a huge field giving a good view of stuff:)
3.it makes much more sense then jumping around tryin to do slam dunks and throwing the ball so it goes into the hoop
4.ppl love it more than basket ball with the exception of one continent
5.it helps everyone cuz u learn to kick stuff without breaking something
6.soccer can be played by almost all age groups wheras basket ball cant be played well by old ppl(no offence intended) and lil kids

so those are a few reasons why soccer is the best sport tht was ever invented by humans

3. Actually it has the same kind of ideology as Football, except you use your hands, in fact considering the net is smaller, it requires more skill.

Everything with which a man amuses himself is vain except three (things): a man's training of his horse, his playing with his wife, and his shooting with his bow and arrow. If anyone abandons archery after becoming an adept through distaste for it, it is a blessing he has abandoned; or he said: for which he has been ungrateful.

oh man, rugby is dangerous
i was on the grade 9 rugby team in high school and i broke my index, middle and ring finger during the final game of the season. rugby sucks. yeah and i'll school anyone in basketball serious. Alhamdulillah i'm a great baller.:)

Baseball is a popular sport in the us....but i'm not really into it. Love to watch soccer, although haven't played it in a while. Basketball's the sport for me and sometimes volleyball.

dude, once I went to basketball game in detroit...I didn't get what I was watching...I was just eatin food...it was sooo freakin boring. Atleast soccer N cricket iz not like bball.

I have seen a lot of free-mixing and free-posting in this thread, which as you know, is unacceptable behaviour on the forum. If we cannot discuss the topic sensibly then either it will be closed or sent to respective private rooms.
