I know only two Pakistanis. Not Desi who live in other countries, but Pakistanis who live in Pakistan. And, ... they are good people.

I know them because their govt sent them to study in a govt institution in my city, and regularly they sent report to Pakistan's embassy through my courier agent.

The first Pakistani is the Smiling Pakistani. I call him like this because he always smile when he came to my office. Never forgot to say "Assalamualaikum" while raise his right hand, then shaking my hand. He is very friendly. He rented a house near my office with his family. After he finished his duty, he back to Pakistan.

His successor was coming alone and rent a room near my office. Different than the first Pakistani, he's a quiet man. But he's kind, polite, and really a typical of pious Muslim. Not just because he has long and thick beard, but because he often spent his time to read Qur'an in masjid.

Of course, not every Pakistani is good as them. But, every community has good people and bad people, not only Pakistan.

^ .. ^ I agree with comments above that no nationality is more pious than others, because Allah give his hidaya (guidance) to any one who seeks hidaya.
But I have to admit that Pakistanis are doing a good job for Islam MashaAllah. I mean they are everyware, especially in the west and they are attached to islam (at least those I knew). Add to that that many da'ees (preachers) in the west are Pakistanis (it seems to me that most of preachers in the west are from Pakistan or from India, with some arabs may be).

I have one question, why isn't Allah being fair to non-Muslims? Why isn't he opening their minds so that they can think and choose the right path?

Anyway on topic, I know that pakistanis are not that good, ive met some that are completely horrible and they didn't follow Islam at all, even though they were muslim by name. I really dont like my own people that much, but from what I see is that some Arabs don't really follow Islam either, I've met some complete moron who said he only respects the prophet for his idea and nothing else, he doesn't realize what the prophet went through and such.... And he even said the same thing about the Quran, he only likes the ideas, he doesn't realize it's a book of so much more.

We have free will. Islam in a sense that it is a way of life is known to non-Muslims, especially those in the West. Not many can say they never heard about Islam, but even then they've probably heard only lies about our religion. Most people in the West have heard of Islam at this point but instead of choosing to learn about the religion from actual Muslims and authentic sources, they actively choose to follow and recycle the lies and hatred that enemies of Islam put out there like mindless sheep. There is no excuse for this.

None is to blame for that but them. Western nations are literate. Most can't say they didn't learn about Islam because they couldn't read. We have libraries and access to history books here too. And there are masjids all over but they also chose not to go there and ask questions to learn the truth about Islam. It's laziness. I used to be in that category until I put my biases aside and searched about Islam on my own. Difference is that I asked God at the time to guide me to the truth and then I started learning about Islam after I left Christianity. Many non-Muslims just go off of what other people tell them about other religions without doing the research on their own, or they are arrogant in that they think they have the truth already and know better than their Creator.

In the past people said "Books are the window of the world". Now this proverb has been changed into "Internet is the window of the world". Internet allow me to see life in other places. But, there is a place that grab my attention and I often observe through internet. That is Pakistan.

I often watch videos and read news from Pakistan because I want to know further about its people. Luckily, like I've said, in average Pakistanis can speak English better than Muslim from other nationalities. So, they can write what's in their minds in English.

I learn much about their culture, their tradition, their character, their lifestyle, and their problems, that different than Indonesian and people in other nations.

There is proverb in my place "Lain padang, lain belalang. Lain lubuk, lain ikannya" (different field, different grasshoppers. Different pond, different fishes). It's means every place have its own people with their own uniqueness. And there is another proverb "Tak kenal, maka tak sayang" (Do not know, so do not love).

Okay, let me display surah Al-Hujurat: 13 as reminder

"O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.

We are divided into many ethnics and tribes because Allah want we know one another, not insult one another.

I have an interest to know about other people in other places. This is one reason why I join in this international forum. And I feel happy here because I can know and meet people from other places, although only through internet.

I am still from moon.

why did all the prophets have to be from the middle east? why couldn't one of the prophets be asian? wouldn't that make islam appeal better to more people in asia?

the reason why you see more pakistani muslims here is because our people practice islam more than any other nationality lol

yeah lol, that's why I saw all the Pakistanis celebrating Pakistani independence like a bunch of hooligans in Green Street (lil india in the UK) on guess what night of all nights?

yep, Layaltul Qadr, the night of the 27th... why weren't they in masjid doing tarawih?

LOL indeed.

I said "caucasian" because I think that's what most people would classify me as, but my family isn't from Armenia or anywhere near the Caucasus.

Wow.. I didn't know we had so many users from various backgrounds..some of them Iv'e never heard of! :muddlehea
It's Islam that keeps us all so united..Subhanallah!

Reminds me of this hadith..

“The believers in their affection, compassion and love for one another is like one single body. If a part of it suffers from pain, the whole body will suffer in pain.” (hadith narrated by Imam Muslim)

Jazak Allah Sister, if any one does not Eritrea it is where the first hajra happened in Islam. Eritrea is by the red sea although some people say that Habesha is Ethopia now, I really think it was our country as we are closer to Saudi, and even the thoughts that the sahaba may Allah be pleased with them passed my home land is great feeling. Anyway we use to be combined to Ethopia but we took our freedom allhmdu le Allah . Islam entered my country by dawa alone.
