sis youre great?!?!!?! lololol aanashai lolololol my sis used to drink that in the gallon load when she was a kid lolololol

aana - milk

aanashai - really really milky tea

beeyo - water?

i think beeyo actually means juice...but its loosely used for water..
i love aanashai...the kids just drink it and they;re asleep..its like magic or something
you're great too..:)..not many can put up with my mangled somali

noo seriously sis i think its top that you wanna learn now i can finally see some use in me speaking it lolololol.....actually we use sharaab to mean juice...lololol you shouldve seen the looks on my pakistani friends faces when i said i wanted some sharaab lololol because it means alcohol in their language i think....lololol they looked so bewildered lololol....aanashai yeh my lil sis was so cute when she drank hers...and now my little nephew loves it too...aww

i study in pakistan..that's where i get all my african and arab friends...i'm at home in sri lanka now..hobayo...(?)

hobayo...(?)

ok thats way cool...sri lanka...i just live in the cold freezing UK...grrrr....right with some somali terms i may not understand them as there was a division in somalia...grrr...stupid tribal thing....grrrr...and so some of the words differ....i mean when people ask me where am i from, somaliland or somali republic...i say i say SOMALIA....simple as i see no division in the land...seriously it gets up my goat when people spend ten hours asking me what tribe im from....because the tribes like branch out and im like huh what??? gosh im muslim and im somali erm what more do you want from me??? lololololol best one is though when they ask who my dad is and i tell them his name...looloolol and he has such a common name which is Mussa...lololol so then they say Mussa ayo...and then so on lolololol and it goes on for ages because somali tradition is for the kids to take their dads first name..say for example there a son called mohammed and a dad called isa and a grandad called haroon and a greatgrandad called bul bul (lololol thats one of my names hahaha) the son's full name would be mohammed isa haroon bul bul :D:D:D and seriously it goes on for generations like my mum knows our family name that goes back hundreds and hundreds of years whoooaaa

that's what used to happen in srilanka..in muslim families the kids take the father's first name..i think its kind of silly..

i think its cool...lololol cos like at college i use my grandads name and greatgranddads name as part of my surname and my economics teacher said to me why do you have a boys name for your middle NAME lololol i was in hysterics laughing and he thought i was weird....hmmmpft well im not gonna double barrel all of my names now am i??

oh..yeah..a really funny thing of that sort happened in pakistan..
i have a friend Nicola from zimbabwe who's name is chiyedza nicola shonhiwa...in pakistan..you go as so-and-so(your name) daughter of so-and-so(your fathers name)..so her certificate said chiyedza daughter of Nicola Shonhiwa...her fathers name was nicola
