Simple, any non-Muslim living there is not considered a citizen, but a legal temporary alien. the actual number of non-Muslims living permenatly in Mali is probably less then .01% Sort of like trying to figure how many non-Catholics live in the Vatican.

the citizens are 100% Muslims, but there are non-Muslims working there in the hotel industry... they have Club Med there... which I think many of the workers are non-Muslims
