You do not have to be good at singing....i know alot of people who can not sing to save their own lives and they'll say that but have an incredible voice when it comes to recitating Quran. So don't let that put you off. When you learn the rules for tajweed (meaning to improve, make better) then you automatically end up having a good voice.

thats true and if u look in the islamic directory it'll say the same thing an that really annoys me coz its not really a meaning is it?? :heated: lol anyway...apparantly if you translate my name into arabic it comes from the word sa-ma-a which means 'to listen' so in effect my name means....somebody who listens!!
