well, do you live in the US?This is the kind of job I want to do!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
i mainly just deal with material problems, and not psychological. the schools i work at all have counselors that deal with psychological problems. however, i work a lot with the counselor's.Ooh really? Cool..yeah its a nice job, helping people out, your right its reccesionproof..people suffering from the consequences of the recession need help too eey! More work guarenteed..It does have a big inpact on you psychologically though..you have to have a thick skin to work in this field. Don't have that but it will work out inshallah. Did an internship on a refugeecentre. That was fun seriously, heavy cases but very rewarding work. Very thankfull people i came across. Youre right about the paything...people who are looking to make loads of money should do something with economics. When u want to do something with Social Work you have to have a heart in it, else you wont last long.
Do you only help when theres material problems or also psychological problems?? IS some heavy stuff seriously![]()

if so, then you need to go to university and get your master's. you can get a bachelor's in social work, but most places now days prefer someone with a master's. if you get your master's, you can find a job very easily doing what i do.

The other party can use that in a slandercampagne you know. Politicians..
Speaking of slander campaigns against muslims. An odd observation I realized over the years is here in the U.S. a muslim is MORE accepted for being a Muslim than they are in Albania or Turkey. Both of those countries are predominantly Muslim yet a girl wearing a hijab is more likely to be discriminated against in Albania than they are here in the U.S.
There is a young lady at my uni who is from Turkey, she is studying Physics on a full scholarship and she wears the hijab and very modest clothing. I asked her how she is treated here because of her hijab, she said she actually is more welcomed here for wearing it than she was in Turkey. Unbelievable!
In Albania there was an incident of two girls being kicked out of school for wearing their hijabs. The case went to the high court and the girls argued simply, "if girls can come into class wearing bikini tops, tube tops, short skirts etc. Than we can come in dressed modestly." A very valid point that eventually led to them winning the case and get this: schools in Albania finally began implementing rules on what appropriate attire should be worn by students.
