Just to add, Sharjah is definitely a nice place to live. It is relatively cheap and more conservative than the other emirates here. Though I must tell you that they have been hiking up the rent prices lately. :heated: I think the government is going to step in soon about that.
We do have a beach near by, both for families and for women only. I’ve lived here all my life and it is a great place to be. Most of the "fun" stuff is generally in Dubai, but dont expect a lot of religious people there. They actually have a club right in front of a Mosque! :?

This must be a joke this is just shocking, are the owners muslim?, and what are the goverment doing about it.
 
Nothing really. Dubai is more similar to Europe than any Islamic state actually. Sharjah is a lot more conservative and you definitely wont find anything like that here. No clubs are allowed anyway.
I am not sure where the owners of the clubs are from. Anyway lets not get off topic here ;)
