to be honest everyone is intelligent on different levels, and everyone might know the answers to one topic better then the other. in the same way people might be better in writing on one field then the other.

so honestly i think both are the same when it comes to judging.

also we can make the judging factor not how enjoyable the story is, but how much of islam the story teaches.

A strong structured story built around one ayyat could teach a lesson which can benefit someone for life... sadaqah jaariyah right there...

How about two different competitions or something? Those who want stories can have stories? And those who want Q/A's can have them?

And i don't want the story thing to be limited to one topic only.. but it would have to be anything related to Islam maybe.

not maybe bro lol it HAS to be islamic, whats the point of writing a story which takes someone away from the remembrance of ALlah right? :)

lol i meant i don't want it to be limited to death only.. obviously it has to be sutin islamic lol..

There should be a word limit. Maybe 500 words? And no less than 250 words. Otherwise it wouldn't be fair. Someone could write a 2000 word story, which can't be compared to a 200 word story.

Plus, if it's too long, it would take the judges too long to read through it and thus waste time.

I think stories or poems would be more interesting as a competition theme, where other members could get to see some of the entries later. It's something that everyone can have a go at, even if they don't feel confident in doing so. However, it does depend on how it is going to be judged and who will be judging it.

I'm not good with essays and poems but i wanna win too :(

Personally I think stories/poems and essays would be the best to judge. Question and answer means you'll get 300 people who get all questions right out of 400 competitors, if you're rich, Go for it. However, personally I think stories and poems would be more interesting.
