oh and by the way, Junaid Jamshed also happens to be on of my top-favorite munshid because I happen to understand the language of his Anashid. I'm not sure if anyone has heard about him.

Yeah, I think he is amazing! I love "Dil Badal de" by him.

I also like Zain Bhika, Sami Yusuf, Maher Zain

I also like Zain Bhika, Sami Yusuf, Maher Zain

I just don't like Sami Yusuf's use of music. Otherwise, I love his nasheeds! Especially "Supplication" in the AL-Muallim album.

At an islamic convention, junaid jamshed (Maher Zain too, beautiful words but he uses musical instruments...)performed one of his nasheeds..he said exactly that! Badal de! What does that mean??? He said it over and over and me and my friend got extremely curious!

lol are you talking about the RIS? That was an amazing event!!!!!

The Nasheed "Dil Badal De" means Change the Heart...
He also explained this Hadith..

The Prophet of Mercy, Sayyiduna Muhammad al-Mustafa salla’llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said :

‘Surely there is in the body a small piece of flesh; if it is good, the whole body is good, and if it is corrupted, the whole body is corrupted, and that is surely the heart’.

Related by Imam Bukhārī in his sahih

Yes, I was there, yeah I also heard this year there were way more people then ever before. It was my first time I had been there and I feel so bad that I missed out on so much : ( ...but I cant wait for the next year's haha

...and your welcome! :)

the girl with a gun..isn't it like sending the wrong message...

The nasheed is about the female martyrs of Palestine.. Folk songs of Arabia in general have alot of sword play in them.. not sure what the wrong message is?

:w:

well the lil girl's mind should be free of all these violence...

violence is imposed upon them from birth..

It is some utopic dream to have them live a life with some semblance of normalcy, but as you can see, just living in Palestine very well denotes you wake up in the morning to find your home ransacked and your mother killed...
Let's not take away from them, the only glimmer of victory they might have, even if it be in the form of a nasheed. By the way as a child I had loads of different types of guns from water to pellet which I shot at my bro. srs. cousins and the neighbors.. there was no amero-Israeli stigma attached to playing with one and the irony is they think it is wrong to dance with a gun, but see nothing wrong with aiming it at people and snuffing their lives out!

:w:

I remember watching the video [posted by sis skye] a couple of years ago and just breaking down at the sight of the little girl cryin at the 0.50sec mark. :'(

Violence should never be the answer *frustration*

I dont listen to many nasheeds but this one in particular is a fav of mine....only urdu-understanding members will be able to understand it though.
