yup sis habaari gaani is used for both genders, but not many ppl use this anymore well the youngsters anyway. They'd say instead VIPI?
I personally dont know swahiili a great deal but i know a few words here and there which is better than nothin'.

Here are a few words that i know.
saasa means now
but you can use saasa like whassup also.
SAASA?
the answer is FEETI! that means Good.
meemi = i
weawe= you ( for both, luckily huh?:happy:
nataaka= i want...
Naku peanda saana= means i love you very much. the
the word peanda is pronounced like PEN in english but the E is longer.
so it's like sayin peeen
 
maama= mother
baaba= father
maama yaangu= my mother
baaba yaangu= my father
rafiqi= friend
rafiqi yaangu= my friend
mardaadi= beautiful
supoo= also means beautiful but youngsters use this more, i love this word it's soo cool.
the word KIBOAKO means a hippo! but when you see something really good you say NI KIBOAKO! = it's like, It's wicked!
