WHY DO SISTERS WEAR HIJAB????

.
Assalaam O Alaikum Wa rahamatulahe Wa barakatuh

An excellent sharing,:rose: :rose: may ALLAH(SWT) reward both of you the WomanOfJihad :sister: and the Ansar Al-'Adl :brother: the best. jazak ALLAH khair.

Wa Alaikum Assalaam Wa rahamatulahe Wa barakatuh

Do you differentiate between hijab and the buhrka? Is the first a covering worn as prescribed in your religion and the buhrka is not required. Do women who wear a buhrka feel invisible as they move about in their surroundings?

Most Muslims do. The Hijaab is generally regarded as the simple head covering (not including face) while the Burqah is an outfit that covers the body in its entirety. It could be said that the Burqah is a style of Hijaab, as there are many styles.

Women are required to cover their hair in Islam, and both Men and Women are required to dress Modestly.

The following link shows some hijaab styles:

Salaam interesting thread- I was wondering if anyone knows of any hadiths/Quraanic ayahs relating to wearing the Niqaab?

:sl:

hmm.. isnt it sumwhere in surah al Ahzab .. Where Allah swt has commanded the believin women to cover themselves when they go out of their houses .. n that includes Face as well.... we know this since the Mothers of the believers didnt used to cum infront of Sahabahs .. n if the Sahabahs needed to talk to them. it would b behind the Veil... but Allahu Alim .. loadsa scholars have different opinions ..

:w:

Thanks for that one- but My freind always uses the exuse that if we dont cover our face when praying in fornt God or when in the Kabah then why in public?

:sl:

ah .. Women are Meant to cover when they in in the Kabah as well.. but nt many pple do it .... also .. there are loadsa women in saudi who wud tell the non hijabis to cover their faces n they wudnt respect them as much as they wud respect a nikabi ..

* Speaking from my friends point of view who went for umrah she had nikab whereas her sister didnt wear nikab .. so a lady comes n tells the non nikab sister to moove away .. yet she didnt say anyfin to my mate who had nikaab on *

As for covering face infront of Allah SubhanAllah thats the most Sily excuse i heard .. he is our CREATOR !!!!!

because around the masjid ul haram you dont expect fitnah. although it does happen Astaghfirullah on a small scale it isnt expected.

There many hadiths reported on the Niqaab. So if a sister wants to wear it to get closer to Allah then Alhamdulilaah. Thats iman boosting and a step up. It is well-known that the wives of the Prophet covered their faces any time non-mahram men were near.

I had an email on many hadiths on the Niqaab but can't seem to find it :(
