Is your surname "trump"? Know that pulling fake idiotic trump cards and naming names for which Allah has given no authority won't mean that you actually trump.

indeed, the authenticity of quoted hadith of kanzul ummal is unknown though but it can't be fabricated because sayings of sahaba ikram ra regarding prohibition of chess are authentic corroborate such ahadith.

And in such cases where no marfoo hadith is found in main sources of ahadith, mawqoof even maqtoo are accepted.

If someone thinks otherwise, at least, should substantiate his claim with authentic evidences, else pointless argument has no importance.

Fear allah.

First of all, you are not a scholar to force your opinion down someones throat.
Second, you cannot support your arguments using fabricated Hadith.

There is a valid difference of opinion regarding the issue of chess, so whats all this commotion for? Why are you bumping heads with each other? Not surprised tbh... Same old keyboard warrior non-sense.

If you think playing chess is doubtful, you should not play it.

On the authority Abi Ab’dillahi al-Nu’man ibn Basheer (ra) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: “That which is lawful is clear and that which is unlawful is clear and between the two of them are doubtful [or ambiguous] matters about which not many people are knowledgeable. Thus, he who avoids these doubtful matters certainly clears himself in regard to his religion and his honor. But he who falls into the doubtful matters falls into that which is unlawful like the shepherd who pastures around a sanctuary, all but grazing therein. Verily every king has a sanctuary and Allah’s sanctuary is His prohibition. In the body there is a morsel of flesh which, if it be sound, all the body is sound and which, if it be diseased, all the body is diseased. This part of the body is the heart”.

However, some Companions and some of the second generation of scholars allowed it. Among those were Ibn `Abbas, Abu Hurayrah, Ibn Sirin, Hisham bin `Umrah, and Sa`id Ibn Al-Musayyib.
It's an ambiguous statement of sh qardawi,
can you Post what these sahaba ikram ra actually said about chess..? and the names of the books as well.

Assalamualaikum.

If some people prefer to play game rather than work, rather than perform ibadah, ....... will you blame the game?, or you will blame the players who play the game?.

.
.
.

If you blame the game, it's mean you stand with scholars who say chess is haram.

If you blame the players, it's mean you stand with scholars who permit playing chess as long as do not neglect obligation to perform ibadah.

If i knew i would - but i do know that Persia was conquered in the time of 'Umar :ra: and after the death of Allah :swt: 's messenger :saws: and believe that some people who didn't know the mental benefits of the game and saw it as a waste of time - decided to add it to their games of chance lists - and as with many others who played "Prophet :saws: said" instead of chess or drums etc, or others who liked gambling on camel races, hoofed animal races, and archery etc - they decided to gain false authority for their opinions.
the rest is irrelevant once the facts are clear and obvious.

And please don't pull any fake ahadith telling me that drinking plain water that is lawfully obtained is haraam (except during the day in ramadan of course) - even that's been pulled on me in the past in a sly way in order to get me jittery - i won't spend a moment searching to provide you with any proofs and will inform you with certainty and full assurance from Allah :swt: Himself and with authority that they are fake ahadith - and i will take full responsibility for my actions knowing that if i anger Allah - i must face the penalty of a mighty day.

Keep it real.
