For my username, though I do martial arts .... I hated the karatekid.

I mean you don't just up and find a random asian dude and became a super fighter like that. Its just retarded... and besides... the actor was wimpy looking :rollseyes.

Hence, were I to meet him in real life, I would have challeneged him and whooped him.

Hence I...am... the.... ANTI-KARATEKID!

lol, (ihavntmetanybodybutimstillsad!!!!) anyway...the reason for my username... well the first forum i joined was a sort of spur of the minute thing, i just got the link via email clicked it and was ORDERED to choose a name! lol so i...being the dreamer i am...just stared out the window, thinking of a name and suddenly, it came to me!! lol and there u have it, the extremely interesting story of the origin of my username!

p.s. is it just me or do i sound incredibly stupid? :rollseyes

...and now im Umm 'Amaarah. I chose the username because Umm `Ammaarah who was among the few devoted followers of the Prophet sallaAllahu`alaihi wasallam who stayed to protect him when most ran away during the attack of the disbelievers in the Battle of Uhud.

Umm `Ammarah (a.k.a. Nusaybah/Naseebah bint Kaab) shielded the Prophet Salla Allahu `alaihi wasallam with her body, using her sword and her bows and arrows. She attacked Qaniah who got within striking distance of the Prophet sallaAllahu`alaihi wasallam. She was wounded deeply on her shoulder and continued to fight but because Qaniah was well-protected, she could not make a dent on his armor. Umm `Ammarah also fought against Mussailamah Kaththab and she suffered a dozen wounds and lost an arm.

Walahi i have loved that name for so long. Inshallah im going to name my daugher Nasibah so i can call her Umm Amarah.

The more you learn about Umm Amarah the more you sit in awe of her.
The way The Prophet(saw) pointed out the kafir who harmed her son and she cut through his legs like they were butter.

My first name:Yanal kept that until I felt to change
Then I changed it to Al-Canal for some reason because my best friend Al Habeshi told me something that made me change it.

No no, I know and remember well those "western" names like Osman, John Smith, or Rambo etc , but as I completely havent got contact with arabic, names in this language (for example Syeed Ahmed Jamall Mammud) sound same for me. :-[
