I choose my own muslim name because I am proud of it and it reminds me that I am muslim even though I live in the 'west'.

Ambrosia has many meanings so each person may decipher what s/he may but only one of the 4 below appeals to me!...

1-A mixture of nectar and pollen prepared by worker bees and fed to larvae
2-Any of numerous chiefly North American weedy plants constituting the genus Ambrosia that produce highly allergenic pollen responsible for much hay fever and asthma
3-Fruit dessert made of oranges and bananas with shredded coconut
4-(classical mythology) the food and drink of the gods; mortals who ate it became immortal

Good question! I actually read this forum before deciding to join, and I went through a list of names. Ameena was the one that caught my eye, and it's my friend's and sisters name. I added Sister because well, we're all brothers and sisters in Islam.
