Rivers of wine in heavens

Question : In Surah Muhammad it is described ‘in heaven there will be rivers of wine which we can enjoy drinking from it’. I just found this to be contradicting in the fact we can’t drink wine here

.....Wine in Paradise is dissimilar to wine in this life. Allah Says (interpretation of meaning):

There they shall pass from hand to hand a (wine) cup, free from any Laghw (dirty, false, evil vague talk between them), and free from sin (because it will be legal for them to drink).[52:23].

Allah also Says (interpretation of meaning): White, delicious to the drinkers, Neither they will have Ghoul (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication there from.[37:46-47].
Allah Says (interpretation of meaning):

They will be served by immortal boys, With cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine, Wherefrom they will get neither any aching of the head, nor any intoxication.[56:17-19].

Al Qurtubi said while interpreting the Ayah: {….and free from sin (because it will be legal for them to drink).} that 'It means they (the dwellers of Paradise) do not say words nor do they indulge in delirium or say indecent terms as human beings in such a state do in this life.'

Ibn Abbas (Radiya Allahu Anhu) said:

'The word “Laghw” in the verse means false talk, while the word Ta’theem means lies.'

Mujahid said: 'This verse means they do not insult one another or commit sins.'
Qatada said: 'Evil of wine comes from Satan and Allah honoured the wine of Paradise from being infected by the filthiness and harm of the wine in this world, as stated earlier (in other verses).

The wine of Paradise does not cause headaches or stomach aches and does not cause the loss of right reasoning. And finally it does not drive people to say bad things….'
Allah also informed of its beautiful appearance and taste. Allah Says (interpretation of meaning):

White, delicious to the drinkers, Neither they will have Ghoul (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication there from.

Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): ….nor will they suffer intoxication there from.[37:47] this means they do not lose consciousness Ibn Abbas said:

'There are four characteristics of wine: ‘drunkenness, headache, vomiting and urinating. Allah mentioned the wine of Paradise and He freed it from such characteristics.'

Allah knows best.

:w:

Why are we permitted to drink wine in Jannah but not on earth? Because Allaah(swt) has said so.

Do we rally need to know more? Is it not sufficient to know that Allaah(swt) has ordered that to be? The only question we need ask is if that is what Allaah(swt), if we honestly believe he did so, we have no need to know more.

Us humans are very funny creatures. We will immediately do what family and friends tell us to do or not do, without question; and insist on learning every detail of why Allaah(swt) tells us to do something. Are we seeking proof that Allaah(swt) exists or are we looking for a loophole to disobey?

You may tell your wife that Rasulullah in many Hadits said "Whoever drink alcohol in dunya won't drink it in akhirat."

Jannah has 4 rivers and sea according to hadits: honey, milk, water, and Khamar (non toxicate).

Why being call Khamr? Because it got good effect as the Khamar of this world.

Ibn Abbas Radhiyallahu 'Anhu said "In Jannah, everything in there are the same with things of this world only by name."

Rasulullah said "In Jannah people aren't allowed to make another people sad."

Rasulullah said "In Jannah people are being given Ilham to do Dzikr as they breathe." They will do Dzikr automaticly, not doing Shalat.
Moreover, Rasulullah when doing Isra' Mi'raj said that he saw Muusa 'Alaihi Salaam doing Shalat inside Qubur, this was done by a Prophet in Qubur, not in Jannah, in there the denizens of Jannah will not do Shalat, but they will do Dzikr.

From what I have seen in the Qur’an the consumption of wine is not intrinsically evil but only contextually so. The Qur’an makes reference to the pervading sin in the world and the way consuming wine in this life would lead to sin. So I think any apparent contradiction in forbidding wine in this life and permitting in the next one simply arises from a misunderstanding of why wine is prohibited in this life in the first place. Secondly, some scholars have noted the symbolic e dimension in the description of heaven. From this one can derive a mystical interpretation of wine. The Sufis have used wine as a symbol for spiritual ecstasy for many years and this could be what the Qur’an is referring to
That’s how I understand it anyway.

We all Muslims will found spiritual delight even Karamah Rasulullah said (Mukhtashar Al 'Uluw of Adz Dzahabi by syaikh Nashir Al Albaani) by looking to Allahu Ta'ala.

In Jannah there will be 4 rivers come from 4 seas: water, wine, milk and honey, and the Salsabila water and Kafur.

Yes, u r absolutely right.

God permitted wine in heaven and on earth it is haram. I never thought of looking for reasons. Allah knows best and we can never know everything. I think that if we insist on seeking answers to every religious detail, we will eventually abandon our religion. We cannot find answers to everything, only Allah has all the answers.

Asalam O Alikum brothers and sisters as far as i know there is sura or prophet Muhammed (May God’s Peace be Upon Him) said:
You will drink wine there from which you wont loose your mind. Didnt quote that since i translated it from my language and the exact same word werent used. Those words made me think that alcohol is prohibited because when you get drunk you dont have complete power over the things you do and start doing bad things.
