working in a supermarket haram?

Technically, you are selling alcohol. However, it's not haraam because it's part of medicine. You're not selling alcoholic beverages so it's okay.

Anyway, on topic, any luck in finding a job in a more Islamically friendly environment? :)

Lool yea I'm wit ya on dat 1....But Heyy I didnt know working in a supermarket is haraam, cuz I just filled out 4 an application like 2 hours ago(seriously no lie) then I cum on LI and people saying its haraam...I know my mom told me I couldnt work at a Resturant becuz people actually order alcohol and what not, But since i'm a Minor anywayz I would only be bagging and pushing the carts(but heyy I kinda like the idea of working), well Holla Backz

why not? i mean, it's not haraam, and i'm one of 5 children so i can't have anything i want if i don't work for it...

for the rest thnx for your replies, i will try to quit soon, but i first want to get some other work,inshaa Allah cuz i'm busy with my drivinglessons :rollseyes and it's very exspensive :(

on top its a jew owned company

I agree that women should be able to work if they choose. Brother Minaz was being ironic in his post. ;)
 
:sl: inshaallah i hope allah (swt) find you somethinck better becouse it is haraam i was glad when i finshed my job there was so much haraam ther and i worked in a nusery so meny non muslim women backbitting,drincking and so on alhamdulillallah allah took me away from this haraam its not been esay but i'm looking for a halal job now inshaallah:w:
