I think some of these might be a little out of date. The biggest cruise liner is now oasis of the seas and not the one mentioned.

I am actually doing a report on Burj Dubai (renamed Burj Khalifa at it's grand opening,btw.. with an official height of 828 m...not 900). I've never seen most of the pictures here, quite interesting,Jazak'Allah kheir for sharing

Donghai Bridge is not longer the longest.

The longest now is the Weinan Weihe Grand Bridge (railroad only though, i believe)

The worlds longest bridge over water is the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway which I have driven over countless times. It is 38.4 km, or 24 miles long.

here is the second phobia I'd never been able to rid myself of.. bridges and tunnels really do something incredible to me.. I am so unconscious of when it happens but the panic that ensues oh God.. one time I was driving on bridge such as that one it could only accommodate one car at a time there is water on one side and a highway on the other so I'd end up dead whatever direction and behind me was a siren ambulance.. I just froze

I think those are all interesting things but remind me of too much love for dunya. Some are indeed technological marvels though. They highlight what humans have earned but sort of reminds me that is that all we have earned? Maybe an unrealistic idealist I am.
