Wrestling singlet and Muslims

My understanding is that muslim must cover from the navel to the knee however freestyle olympic and greco roman wrestling requires the wearing of a singlet by the men and boys. The majority of these singlets do not extend below the knee or reach the knee. Is this compatible with the faith ?
