;DOMG my mouth is watering and me fasting :'(
What do you mean by fave food? All food is my favorite :giggling:
For the Aloo Keema
* 2-3lbs minced meat
* 2-3 onions (finely sliced)
* 2-3 potatoes (or whatever u like)
* whole bulb of garlic (crushed)
* 2 small tomatoes or half tin
* ginger (optional)
* oil
* green chillis (optional)
* fresh coriander
* 1 tsp red chilli powder
* 1/2 tsp tumeric powder
* 1/2 tsp garam masala
* curry powder is optional. If added 1/2 tsp
Method
1) Wash and boil meat to clear blood, drain.
2) In large pan add meat, onions, garlic, salt, and 2 cups of water and bring to boil. Turn down heat and simmer until meant is cooked and water has dried.
3) Now add 1/4- 1/2 cup of oil, all spices, tomatoes and stirfry for 10 more minutes after oil separates.
4) Add potatoes (cut in medium sized pieces) and add enough water that potatoes will cook in but curry won't be runny. Cook until potatoes are tender and oil has risen to the top.
5) Add green chillis and cook for 5 more mins, finally add fresh coriander.. mix it all up and voila! Aloo Keema are ready! (green chillies can be added earlier but I add them at the end as they give a lovely aroma to the dish).
There are other ways to make this dish. Maybe someone knows an easier way than this one.
Chappatis are very tricky to make and you need a chappati pan, griddle and know how. It's best to watch someone make them, as it's kinda hard to figure how to do it from text only.
