The Blessed Day of Arafaat is on Monday (14th October 2013)

Fasting on the day of Arafaat is a great Sunnah and most rewarding. It is an expiation of 2 years of sins:

Abu Qatada (Ra) related that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, “Fasting the Day of `Arafah (9th of Dhu’l Hijjah) expiates for two years, one prior and one forthcoming. And fasting the Day of `Ashura (10th of Muharram) expiates for the past year.” [Muslim, Abu Dawud, Nasa’i, and Ibn Majah]

Subhanallah how merciful and generous is Allah. Therefore we should take advantage of this blessed day and keep this fast.

Suhur and Iftar times for the fast of Arafaat:

On Monday 14th October In London Uk Suhur ends at 05:51 am. Iftar (Fast ends) at 18:09 pm.

    http://www.salahtimes.com/uk/london

You can find when Fajr and Maghrib begins in your country and area on the following website:

    http://www.salahtimes.com

Also recite plenty of the following:

    a) Say tahlil:

    La ilaha illah Allah

    b) Takbir:

    Allahu akbar

    c) Tahmid:

    Alhamdu lillah

    d) Tasbeeh:

    Subhan Allah

Also recite plenty of the following:

    Allaahu Akbar
    Allaahu Akbar
    Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah Walahu Akbar
    Allaahu Akbar
    Wa Lillaahil hamd

Translation: (Allaah is Most Great, Allaah is Most Great, there is no god except Allaah, Allaah is Most Great, Allaah is Most Great, and all praise be to Allaah).

Dua's are readily accepted on the day of Arafaat:

This is also a day where Dua's are readily accepted therefore we should ask of Allah sincerely for his mercy and forgiveness and make a firm resolve to make life changes and renewed intentions in order to devote ourselves to Allah and to obey and serve him until our last breath.

    Making life changes:

This may be our last chance as time is not on our side. Therefore we must take this opportunity and not let it slip by otherwise on the day of judgement we will look back and be in utter regret at the opportunities we missed to do good deeds.

So grab the opportunity NOW and let us NOT be of those in utter regret saying.."Why didn't I do so and so? I am truly in utter loss."

Re: Fast the Blessed day of Arafaat on Monday (14th October)

Forgot to mention there are also many Muslims doing Eid on Wednesday like in Asia and Australia, so for them the fast of Arafaat will be on Tuesday 15th October insha'Allah

For accurate timings for the beginning of Fajr (End of Suhur) and Maghrib (End of fast) and all prayer times anywhere in the world then please refer to:

Re: Fast the Blessed day of Arafaat on Monday (14th October)

Suggested schedule for Day of ARAFAT

Sleep early the night before to strengthen yourself for the special day.

Wake up before Fajr for suhoor.

Make wudoo, while consciously remembering that your sins are being washed away til the last drop of water.

Pray at leasr 4 rakahs of qiyam (Tahajjud) and make duaa for your deen & dunya in your sujood. Cry to Allah, showing Him humility & ask Him to give you tawfeeq on this great day, and thank Him for making you of those who would experience this special occasion. 

Spend some time (10-15 mins at least) making Istighfar before Fajr, to be like the righteous whom Allah described as "seeking forgiveness before dawn."

Repeat after Fajr adhan & make duaa. Pray Fajr. Sit in your prayer place and do your morning adhkar. Make tasbeeh, tahleel, tahmeed, & takbeer. (Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illAllah) And as the Prophet (s) advised, increase in "la ilaha illallah, wahdahu la shareeka lahu, lahul mulk wa lahul hamd, wa huwa ala kulli shay'in qadeer."

15 minutes after sunrise pray 2 rakahs of shurooq. This all amounts to the reward of a complete Hajj & umrah. So do not waste it!

If you're able to stay awake by all means, do so and do not waste a single minute. If you need to sleep, take a nap for an hour with the conscious intention of energizing yourself for the worship of Allah.

When you wake up, make wudoo and recite lots if Quran and make the dhikr mentioned above in breaks in between.
(Make dhikr after Dhuhr as you prepare food or as you do what is absolutely necessary.

After Asr, say the evening adhkar. Then recite Quran again til about an hour before Maghrib. At that point, make LOTS of duaa til Maghrib, while having yaqeen that Allah will answer. (Preparing a duaa list ahead of time helps!) Beg that the day will not come to an end except that Allah has forgiven you all your sins and written you of those He has freed from the Fire.

✔Don't forget the Muslims suffering all over the world. Remember as you break your fast that your duaa at that moment is accepted.

May Allah grant us all tawfeeq (The ability) on that day.

    Remember us in ur duas.
