Have any of you been to Saudi Arabia to do Umrah or Hajj??
If you have had any events that happened to you please post them if you want to.

I have never been to Umrah or to Hajj but just looking at all your posts, experiences and your descriptions I feel a longing desire to go to that place. It still remains a dream to be fulfilled . . . . Insha'Allah.

Oh the Black Stone!
Alhamdulillah I managed to kiss it many times.. it was pretty easy
Oh yeah... amani mentioned about the kabah cloth and someone touching it?
Reminided me of something I went 5 years ago, practically when I was 10 years old. So a few days after I had performed umrah, I was doing tawaaf with my mum and just out of innocence as a child and you know first time being there and seeing the kabah, I said to my mum that I want to touch the kabah, feel the material of the cloth, what it was like. So my mum said ok so I did touch it and as soon as I did, there was this arab man and I clearly remember he was wearing white thobe, cream bisht red and white scarf, and he said to me to go and it was shirk... and I was like I only wanted to feel what it was like so I had to go ..
There were loads of people touching and putting their arms on it, and their heads in their arms...basically leaning on the kabah. If that makes sense? and the Arab man was telling them too..
It is not shirk to touch the cloth. I did myself and no one stopped me.
I want more stories!

I think because it doesn't say anywhere in the hadith about touchin the cloth so they don't let people touch it much.. Cuz then slowly people will get other ideas and thats how deviations creep in.. Allahu a'lam. :sister:

When you leave makkah, you take a part of it with you, this shard of a memory shines in your heart and well stays with you for quite long, im quite ashamed of myself because, ive forgotten about this memory and its become more of a shadow rather than a sliver of light because i didnt bother to polish up my rememberence of it.
