A tattoo is seen on the back of a Taliban militant who was killed during a gun battle in Peshawar December 16, 2012. Militants holed up in a half-built house in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar traded gunfire with police on Sunday after taking part in an attack on a nearby airport the previous night officials said.
One of the 10 terrorists involved in Saturday night’s brazen attack on Peshawar airport had Western-style “tattoos” on his body, raising questions about the identities of those behind the assault.
Security officials said at least five of the 10 attackers involved appeared to be Uzbek nationals. But counter-terrorism officials are perplexed by the discovery of a demonic “tattoo” on the back of one of the terrorists.....

There was another pic of another ''militant'' and he had a tatoo with a skull and 2 M4 rifles with underneath written semper fi, from what i know semper fi is used for US marines, so this could be blackwater agents.

I have called these Pakistani Taliban militants the scum of the earth since the very beginning. Yet, there were Muslims on this forum defending them like they were angels. Although this doesn't prove anything...it clearly tells us that we need to be wary of bearded and turbaned people claiming to be fighting in the cause of Allah.

Dunno! 5 of them were Uzbeks though according to the officials. Whether this particular militant with the tattoo is an Uzbek or not, it doesn't say so, if I am not mistaken.

Lol Taliban... they hold the Quran in one hand and murder people. The image they gave the rest of Islam is just too bad, if you claim to fight for Islam then do it right, don't murder innocent people, kill anyone that doesn't agree with you, etc. Protect them and you have simply been misguided.
Now as for the tattoo thing, it doesn't mean anything. Some scholars consider it haram and some don't so let Allah judge them on judgement day. But also remember, how many Muslims commit zina? Isn't zina a bigger sin than having a tattoo? As long as they say the shahada and believe it they are Muslims and having some ink on them doesn't mean they won't believe in Allah and his Prophet (saw).

Asalaamu Alaikum,
Should you really be making such snide remarks towards your brother? Even if you disagree with them, does that still give anyone the right to insult, redicule and belittle them?
How do you know that this person got a tattoo when they were a kaafir and then reverted to Islam? Or, they got a tattoo whilst going through difficult times, and have since repented from this sin?
What about reverts today, who have tattoos (and there's many of them btw), that can't remove them for health/injury reasons? Are you going to doubt their Islam too?
