The US has long been a staunch ally of Israel, unwilling or unable to criticize even its most extreme acts of violence against Palestinians. On the contrary, the US continues providing our tax dollars to Israel in the form of military aid, while also shielding Israel from international law in the UN Security Council. Too bad we couldn't use those tax dollars for our own schools, infrastructure, and healthcare.

Many children in Gaza have been orphaned, malnourished, and forever traumatized. Even with more than 13,000 Palestinian children slaughtered in Gaza in just four months into this war, it still wasn’t enough to satisfy US-Israeli bloodlust.

While most people have enough of a filter to know what thoughts they should keep to themselves, US Congressman Andy Ogles couldn’t help himself when confronted by a protester. He thinks he understands the situation, but in reality has no idea what the Palestinians have endured for the past century. If only he could be put in the same boat.

Anyway, the protester said: “I’ve seen the footage of shredded children’s bodies. That’s my taxpayer dollars. You are going to bomb those kids.”

How did Ogles respond? With all the tact of a politician, of course. He said: “So, I think we should kill them all, if that makes you feel better.”

No, Mr. Ogles, that doesn’t make me feel better.
