    U.S. genocidal strategy in Fallujah

    Report bad ads?

    By: Emile Tayyip

Every day, the U.S. occupation forces in Iraq attack civilians in a calculated effort to drown a growing popular anti-occupation resistance in blood. But the dimensions of the atrocities being carried out in the name of fighting “insurgency” are not being clearly reported by the “reputable” media outlets across the world. They’re actually being either underreported or totally ignored.

And after more than two years of its massive military campaign that killed scores of innocent people in Fallujah, the U.S. is now carrying out a 'genocidal' strategy in the volatile al-Anbar province west of the Iraqi capital.

The U.S. occupation forces, joined by Iraqi soldiers are currently engaged in a new genocidal campaign against residents of the volatile city of Fallujah, a recent report on Uruknet.Info said, citing residents’ accounts.

They kill people arrested during their military operations that include home raids in the Iraqi city that witnessed the bloodiest military campaign by the occupation forces in collaboration with the puppet government where more than 2,085 people were killed and 1,600 detained in November 2004.

"Seventeen young men were found executed after they were arrested by U.S. troops and Fallujah police," 40-year-old Yassen of Fallujah told IPS. "My two sons have been detained by police, and I am terrified that they will have the same fate. They are only 17 and 18 years old."

Hundreds of men are held at detention centers across the city without legal representation.

Residents say that many people get killed everyday as a result of random fire which they said has become routine for the U.S. and the Iraqi forces who’re joining them in the campaign.

Among incidents cited by the city residents was that involving Sa'ad, a 25-year-old from the al-Thubbat area of western Fallujah.

Sa’ad "kept running home every time he saw U.S. soldiers," a man from his neighbourhood told IPS, describing him as “the poor guy”.

"He used to say: Go inside or the Americans will kill you."

Sa’ad, whom his neighbours say have developed a mental disability, was recently shot dead by U.S. soldiers who claimed that they opened fire at him after their patrol came under attack.

IPS said it has obtained photographs of what it described as an elderly man whom the U.S. troops murdered last month.

"Last month was full of horrifying events," a retired police officer from Fallujah told IPS. "Three men were executed by American soldiers in the al-Bu Issa tribal area just outside Fallujah. One of them was 70 years old and known as a very good man, and the others were his relatives. They were asleep when the raid was conducted."

IPS also cited remarks by Khalid Haleem, from al-Qa'im, in which he said that "seven people were executed in al-Qa'im recently, at the Syrian border,"

"They were gathering at a friend's place for dinner when Americans surrounded the house, with armored vehicles with helicopters covering them from the air. Those killed were good men and we believe the Americans were misinformed."

    Not just that.

The occupation forces also inflicted serious damage on the highest minaret in Fallujah, saying it was a retaliatory attack that was carried out in response to attacks targeting them.

"They hate us because we are Muslims, and no one can argue with that any more," 65- year-old Abu Fayssal who witnessed the event told IPS. "They say they are fighting al- Qeada but they are only capable of killing our sons with their genocidal campaign and destroying our mosques."

"It is our people killing each other now as planned by the Americans," Abdul Sattar, a 45- year-old lawyer and human rights activist in Fallujah told IPS. "They recruited Saddam's security men to control the situation by well-known methods like hanging people by their legs and electrifying them in order to get information. Now they are executing them without trial."

Witnessing their brothers, sons, daughters and sisters, elders and children getting killed everyday by the occupation forces, the vast majority of Iraqis now openly support attacks against the U.S. army.

"The genocidal Americans are paying for all that," a young man from Fallujah told IPS.

The fact that the U.S. is resorting to slaughtering and targeting civilian populations to fight the Iraqi resistance testifies to the fact that the American occupation is not welcomed by the Iraqi nation as the biased Western media claims, but actually hated and despised by the Iraqi masses.

    "Genocide"???

    Sonz;

Words mean things. Exactly which ethnic, racial or religious group is the US trying to exterminate? Would that be all Arabs? How come they aren't exterminating the Kuwaitis? All Muslims perhaps? That is one heck of a job....of course the US rescue effort in Aceh would seem to be at cross purposes. The mere use of such preposterous language invalidates the author's claims, in my opinion.

    And you are a moderator???

Will you believe something that is posted in Al Jazeera or BBC?

Because the reporter is from Al Jazeera.

It's not a case of whether I believe it or not, it's being denied the information necessary for me to formulate such an opinion. And, yes, you would be quite correct in criticizing me for calling it "tosh" until I had given sonz a fair chance to provide that information!

I managed to discover (it really shouldn't be a do-it-yourself job) that he writes for Al Jazeera, but he also writes elsewhere. What I could not do was find the article being quoted, in order to see if Tayyip produces any credible evidence to support accusing the US of "genocide" and "slaughtering and targeting civilian populations". If he does not, the article remains "tosh".

Re: U.S. genocidal strategy in Fallujah

For more details have a look here:

    Fallujah, The Hidden Massacre

"Following pressure from former Labour MP Alice Mahon, the British Ministry of Defence confirmed the use of MK77 by US forces in the attack on Fallujah"
(Alice Mahon resigned due to the injustice against Iraq)

The hypocrisy of it all, They went to find "Weapons of mass destruction" and here they end up using it... on civilians...

"...The filmmakers interview former US Army scout Garret Reppenhagen, also from Colorado, claimed that civilan deaths were common and intentional..."

There are some Christians in Iraq, some of those have been killed in the fighting too, what about Iraqi Jews? No idea though if there are any Jews in Iraq, but if there is, its a fair bet that some of them would have been killed or injured in the fighting. So really you cant say that the US has been ethnically cleansing Iraq of Muslims. It seems that most of the killing lately has been done by Muslims themselves sadly.

What about Muslims in other Middle Eastern countries? If the US are targetting muslims for genocide like you alledge, how come they havent invaded Kuwait, UAE, Saudi, Egypt, etc etc? How come they havent rounded up all Islamic US citizens and wiped them out?

Sorry but your conclusion is flawed.

    Curious;

I agree with your analysis except the use of the term "conclusion" to describe
Talha777's claim. To me, "conclusion" implies some type of rational decision-making process. It seems more like mindless hatred to me.

Re: U.S. genocidal strategy in Fallujah

This anti-west site started to tot up casulties in Iraq in 2003. their aim was to show the cost of the US liberation and show all the innocent deaths caused by Yank troops.

In showing that,It's actually backfired like a M106 with the round in nose-first. It however does show who is killing who. And its no surprise.

    http://www.iraqbodycount.org/

Now , we are hearing a common idea that the US is "Carpetbombing" in a genocidal campaign.

Lets deal first with genocide: It's the systematic slaughter of a ethnic or religious group. We have acknowlaged that the alleged group here is "Muslims".

A strike by the US B1 fleet, (as oppossed to the B2 or B52's or half a dozen other types of high capacity bombers) could deliver 29,000,000 lbs of high explosive on any city in the world.
So on day 1 it could flatten Tehran. day 2 Kuwait City, Day 3 Kabul, day 4 Constantinople, (you get the idea).

But whats actually happening in this "genocide". A IED goes off and damages a hummer and kills a US Infantryman, It also kills 12 innocent schoolkids and their mums who apparently are now instant martyers. The US troops return fire and every other day some riccocheting bullets or a 17yr old GI with a M4 accidently pulls the trigger on a figure he beleives is a terrorist and turns out to be a panicking shopkeeper.

Meanwhile on the same day, death squads of muslims scream through the streets in their toyotas , grab a batch of Muslims of a opposite sect or if theyre forign jihadists, any sect, because it all adds to the chaos, and behead them.

So we have at the end of a day 70 odd people across the country dead and hundreds wounded. One or 2 by American fire that missed their intended targets, 69 by muslim knives and bombs that hit theirs.

So there is definatly a genocide going on, but have a look for yourself who's doing it.

When they start reporting that A US suicide bomber walked into a market place and screamed "The Pope is brilliant!" before shredding the guys n girls around the spice stall with his vest of C4, then you have a point.

Now whats Genocide? The Crusades? Definitely. No doubt. The systematic slaughetr of villages and targeting of Innocents. The Crusades to the wests shame killed 300,000 muslims over a period of 300 years.

(Oh by the way Saddam killed 1.7 million including 350,000 of his own people in 35 years....but lets wash over that. Also lets ignore the Sudan Again Muslims (Arabs) are murdering (black) Muslims and heathens, and the numbers are unclear. Moderate estimates are talking about 200,000 victims, higher estimates say 600,000. or The massacre in Algeria.there have been about 100,000 victims so far. Most of them have been innocent civilians. In most cases it has been horrific massacres of whole villages, women, children and old people.
Lets just skip lightly over Somalia. Since 1977 this Muslim state in East Africa has been immersed in an unending civil war. The number of victims is estimated at about 550,000. It is Muslims killing mainly Muslims. UN attempts to intervene, in the interest of peace keeping, ended in the failure, as did later attempts by American Forces. the heroic killing of 16 americans there enabled the massive slaughter to continue. I dont think we should count Bangladesh.124 million fatalities as a result of systematic murder of civilians by Pakistan’s army forces. There are also numerous reports of ‘Death squads’, in which Muslim soldiers were sent to execute mass killings of Muslim farmers.
Americas killing accidently of several hundred Iraqi citizens dwarfs the minor events in Indonesia. Muslims killing 100,000 to 200,000 people in 25 years, along with the complete destruction of infrastructure.)

Anyway. ignore these so called genocides which merely add up to tens of millions. Lets all concentrate on the mistakes of US troops desperatly trying to fend off Muslim freedom fighters in iraq, blowing kids to bits.

(Oh and if we do pull out of iraq and the place tears itself apart, thats the wests fault too) in the meantime, keep remembering the Crusades and their killing of 300,000 in 300 years, and forgetting the bloody massacres tens of millions over dozens of years, happening right NOW, committed by muslims upon themselves.
