And..? Since when did that make someone an enemy to Islaam? One of the closest people to the final Messenger of God, Muhammad (peace be upon him) was his uncle, a non muslim, yet he supported Islaam and died as a non muslim.
Allah forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you not for (your) Faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for Allah loveth those who are just.
Allah only forbids you, with regard to those who fight you for (your) Faith, and drive you out of your homes, and support (others) in driving you out, from turning to them (for friendship and protection). It is such as turn to them (in these circumstances), that do wrong.
[Qur'an 60: 8-9]

No doubt Falwell was non-Muslim, and did not have a particular fondness for the Muslim faith. However, nothing he has said is any more offensive than many statements from Islamic clerics I've read before. When someone doesn't agree with you, you might be inclined to feel offended by their comments. Lord knows I've been offended by some of Falwell's comments, but I didn't consider him an "enemy" because of it.
"Imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he is not, and a sense of humor was provided to console him for what he is."
The wretched man who dared to call our beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (sallallahu alaihi wa salaam), a (God forbid) terrorist, has finally met his end, and we pray that may Allah Taala give him what he deserves.
He is probably experiencing the punishment in the grave already. What a sad end. May Allah save us from being among people that die like him and among the dwellers of fire. and may Allah swt make us among the heirs of Jannah Firdews. Ameen
I am talking about the man who died; I am talking about Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wa salaam). The Prophet(sallallahu alaihi wa salaam) last name is not Mustafa, Its Prophet Muhammad Ibn Abdullah Ibn Hashim(sallallahu alaihi wa salaam).
alhamdu lillah this thread is back open, my thread was hijacked in the beginning and was closed before i had a chance to respond.
let me clarify my first post when I called falwell an 'enemy of islam' which can be different than an 'enemy of muslims'.
I didn't say he was an 'enemy of islam' because 'he wasn't muslim' as MTAFFI .
falwell during his lifetime, with his own tongue, made horrible statements about islam and the prophet muhammed (salla lahu alaihi wa salam). his teachings are responsible for the radical thinking of the neo cons that (among other things) have demonstrated an intolerance of muslims, that are responsible for the catastrophe in Iraq, and supports the aparthied state of isreal.
falwell is an enemy of islam from his own words, his own tongue. now, if muslims out there want to give this man the benefit of the doubt, forgive him, or tried to make dawah to him during his lifetime, that's a their choice.... but it didn't change the fact that falwell still hated islam...
I don't judge the man, personally... and cannot say where his final position in the afterlife is/will be... that's a decision made by the Allah (subhana wa ta3allah)...
one more thing i want to say, as i am new to the board, my statements can be misunderstood....
when i say 'apartheid state of isreal' i don't mean that i have a dislike or hatred toward the jewish people. i have respect for jewish people, but a lack of respect for the government of isreal....
