I hope there isn't already a thread similar to this, but I think this will be very helpful to some.....

Jazakallah in advance to everybody who translates.....

I just wanted to know, does this:

    و الله يعلم ما تسمعون

And Allah knows what what you hear?

    Re: Arabic-English translation requests

    As salaamu Alaykum,

    Hiya Sis

In search for the translation of the Nasheed "Mawlaya" (which is an extract of Qaseedah Al-burda online) before I myself attempted to translate it, here's what I found:

    http://www.ummah.com/forum/archive/i...p/t-34864.html

    http://www.deenislam.co.uk/burdah/burdah.htm

on this second one it shows the full translation of the whole qaseedah. I think your bit starts from "section-3".

Hope that helps InshaAllah,Take Care Sis :rose:

Lol..Sometimes numbers are replaced to make "arabic letters/huruuf" cause they're not found in the english alphabet.

The "3" stands for an "ayn/ain"

And sometimes ppl use two aa's in a word, I know I do that if the word has an "alif" after the fatha of the letter before.. like the word you came with..
"شافقة " when writing it in english i'd put two a's :Shaafiqatun, to show that there's an alif there aswell as the fatha..

but that's me, other ppl might choose to do write differently.
sis amira explained it to me...

Some more funny Malaysian Pronounciation Kak Syilla?

I'm wondering now whether those 'z's would be standing for a ذ or a ظ but it seems to be more likely with a ظ so I'll translate it that way Insha'allah, and then Kak Syilla you tell me whether it matches what you are looking for okay?

a3izuka = أعظك and that would mean : I warn you, or, I admonish you

a3izuni = أعظني and that would mean : (You) warn me

u3izuni = أعظني (with a dhamma on the alif) would mean : I warn myself

Harf means letter right? Is huruuf then letters?

You know the du'a, yaa muqallib alquluub, thabbit qalbi 'ala deenak.. If you should say it in plural, then qalbi in plural is that quluubina? I have read the du'a in arabic, but it was without the harakaat, so I didn't really know if it was right..

    Yep.

yaa muqallib alquluub, thabbit qalbi 'ala deenak..
Here is Singluar, and it means My Heart

And Yes; If you were to make it Plural it'd be "Quluubanaa"; Our Hearts.
