i thought that perhaps LI forum members could share any interesting facts they have that maybe others might not know...anything small be it about how many species of ants there are...just a build up of general knowledge....

Did you know...It actually is true that eating carrots can help you see better. Carrots contain Vitamin A, which feeds the chemicals that the eye shafts and cones are made of. The shafts capture black and white vision. The cones capture colour images.

did you know....

that when moses (as) crossed the sea he was about to hit his staff again thinking that this would close the sea that had split, but Allah stopped him saying they are 'a host to be drowned'

and at that moment pharoh knew that this was the doing of moses's God, he had not intention of following them into the sea, but said to his army, look!, the sea has opend for me (what a lil liar!), he intended them to go in...

and this is the interesting part which i just discovered;

Gibraeel came along on a horse into the sea and sort of beckoned the horse of pharoah into the sea with him, and pharoah had no control over his horse and the army thought that they should follow Pharoh, and they were all drowned.
