Vertigo, as in the illness, and not the Hitchcock's movie. I am fascinated by this illness as my brother is currently hospitalized after getting vertigo attack two days ago. He was driving alone when it happened and alhamdulillah he was still able to maneuver the car to stop on the side and avoided accident although by that time he was already vomiting all over the car. He recounted that he felt as if he was watching television with bad signal where the picture are black and white and going zigzagging all over the place and he felt as if he was traveling at high speed in roller coaster going upside down.
Right now, he is still learning to sit up and stand up, and still feeling as if he were in an earthquake with the ground shifting all the time.
What is staggering to me is that how such little disturbance in his inner balance can cause a man to be that incapacitated. Subhanallah.
An atheist may not find anyhting unusual in it, but i find it as another sign of Allah SWT. I think it is also a sign for him to be more careful with his lifestyle (his bad cholesterols is very high, he's been hard at work with not much rest) and to take care of his health a little better.
