Assalamu-alaikum,
I care not what the Doctors say here, all I know is, vaccinations for babies show absolutely no faith in Allah - and I have a massive problem with that.
Im having a massive problem with the imaans of doctors/ those who decide to vaccinate their kids being judged.
“Tie your camel first, then put your trust in Allah” (At-Tirmidhi).
Tying ones camel = trying to prevent the animal from escaping (by the will of Allah)
Having a vaccine = trying to prevent being afflicted from a particular disease (by the will of Allah).
We place our trust in our Rabb, AND we are making the effort to protect ourselves.
Oh there's a lot more, you just have to "look". Oh and sis Zaria, it's only a conspiracy theory if you are unaware of the "facts"
Im still waiting for the 'facts' - about
vaccines.
Oh yes.......there are no facts.
Only speculations and building on conspiracy theories.
As mentioned:
"I see that you need evidential proofs, and there is nothing wrong with that - but really now, you know sis Zaria, that this info will not be made public fact til 30 yrs have elapsed... by which time you'll all be scratching your heads thinking "what a world we live in"."
Well, its been a good few decades of vaccines - and still we wait to see this flood of 'Victims of Vaccines'.
Lets see what we DO know - REALITY CHECK!
Lets take some case scenarios:
Case 1:
I'll share with everyone a story of a collegue of mine:
KZN doctor died of swine flu

THE death toll from the H1N1 virus in KwaZulu-Natal has risen to five.
The authorities confirmed yesterday that a doctor who died last month had contracted the H1N1 virus.
Irshad Moola of KwaDukuza, north of Durban, died at a local private hospital after a short illness.
His family and the provincial department of health confirmed that the doctor died of swine flu after falling ill with what appeared to be flu symptoms.
His bereaved father Farouk Moola said his son was admitted to hospital complaining of difficulty breathing and experiencing flu-like symptoms and died two days later.
"My son died of the H1N1 flu after being ill for two days," he said.
"His death was so sudden and is a great loss to the family."
Moola had been working at KwaDukuza Hospital for five years . He is the first health practitioner to die of swine flu.
The virus has claimed the lives of more than 30 people in South Africa and about 11253 have been infected in the past few months .
(For those interested in placing a life and a face to the brother who lost his life to the epidemic that had just reached South Africas shores at the time - there is a FB page in his memory:

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raajioon)
So, what should the advise be to those medical personnel/ family members who were in direct contact with this young brother(as well as other victims) - and are therefore at high risk of contracting the virus themselves?
Answer: Vaccinate.
“Tie your camel first, then put your trust in Allah” (At-Tirmidhi).
Case 2:
How should a young HIV positive pregnant be advised?
Should she take anti-retrovirals - that have been proven in randomised controlled trials to reduce the risk of mother-to-child transmission from 25-30% to less than 2%?
Answer: Preventative ARVs required.
“Tie your camel first, then put your trust in Allah” (At-Tirmidhi).
Case 3:
You are travelling to a malaria-stricken region in Africa.
It is peak malaria season, and there have been thousands already afflicted by the disease - many losing their lives as a result of complications and poor access to health-care.
What should you do?
Answer: Take malaria chemo-prophylaxis (i.e. medication that will insha Allah, prevent disease even if you are bitten by an infected mosquito).
“Tie your camel first, then put your trust in Allah” (At-Tirmidhi).
And I can go on......
The point is the following:
Yes, there are many theories as to how outbreaks originate.
Are they a result of laboratory-engineering/ genetically modifications?
WHO knows BUT Allah (subhanawataála ) himself!
At the end of the day - I, as well other health-care practioners are facing ACTUAL PEOPLE, SUFFERING FROM ACTUAL DISEASE, OFTEN FACING DEATHS DOOR.
These patients are not figments of our imagination.
Their diseases are real.
Their disabilities and deaths are real.
Does Mr X whose son is fighting for his life from a certain virus/ bacteria or the doctor who is looking after him, CARE, at that point in time, whether:
- the virus/ bacteria is part of some greater picture?
- that Mr Rumsfield is the chairman of Tamiflu company?
Should it make a difference to our management?
Should I withold antibiotics/ anti-virals (the ones whose efficacy we have witnessed with our own eyes) - because of views that include: 'we think', 'perhaps', 'maybe'?
NO!
Alhamdulillah.
Irrespective of whether the above is true or not - Allah knows best -
there is a persons life at the end of this line!
I personally have been witness to many many deaths from HIV and TB in my country.
So many......I have honestly lost count.
What I see, e.g. is the 25 year old man, weighing only 40 kg, bedridden - his body wasted from the effects of his disease.
I PRAY that a vaccine for HIV/ TB, by the will of Allah can be found!
Please people - open your eyes!
Yes, there are sinister people out there, with evil intentions of biologic war-fare.
And, I trust that Allah will take them to account!
If not in this life, then in the aakhirah.
@ sis cosmic:
Just as you may question the accuracy of the figures/ graphs presented from the medical field, so too do I question those that are being pumped through the anti-vaccine sites.
One need only google: 'I hate vaccines', 'Vaccines bad for you', 'Vaccines harmful' - to reach a completely skewed perception by the fear-mongerers out there.
You find what you are looking for.
So:
I find it amazing to have such precise mapping of mortality rates from 1900 on measles for example, when:
the measles virus itself was first discovered in 1930, and John F. Enders of the Children's Hospital in Boston successfully isolated the measles virus in 1954!
Amazing.
(I am aware that it was a persian physician to first clinically differentiate between the smallpox and measles).
In any case, Im not here to change peoples minds - who are set against vaccinations.
This is your decision.
Im simply here to balance the scales - for those innocent readers who visit this forum, and may be influenced by un-evidenced theories.
This is my last post on this insha Allah.
(I have exams in a matter of weeks, insha Allah. Please remember me in your duaas).
