He was the famous king in Islamic history. Coincidently The Name of his servant and currency of the country was same.

Q: what was the name of the servant..?

Hint:

the King is still known as ' the righteous khalifa'.

His wife's name was Fatima.

The king and fifth rightly guided caliph was Umar Ibn Abdul Aziz, may Allah be pleased with him.
The currency at the time was dinar, but I don’t know the name of his servant.
I came across mention of someone called Malik ibn Dinar, who was the son of a Persian slave called Dinar, but couldn’t find a mention of his father Dinar.
There was also someone called Abdullah Ibn Dinar, who was a narrator in some ahadith, who it seems was one of the servants of Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both). As Umar Ibn Abdul Aziz was a great grandson of Umar Ibn al Khattab (may Allah be pleased with them both), maybe there is a connection with Abdullah ibn Dinar through that?

The name of the servant was Dirham.

Your answer is right as both dinar and dirham were used as currency in umayyad dynasty.

Thanks for your reply.

Now it's your turn to ask next question.

:jz: for all the interesting questions from everyone in this thread. I'm learning a lot.

When the Qur'an was being collected into one volume after the prophet's :saws: death, which were the last two verses to be collected, and who were they collected from?

There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grievous to him is what you suffer; [he is] concerned over you and to the believers is kind and merciful.

But if they turn away, [O Muhammad], say, "Sufficient for me is Allah ; there is no deity except Him. On Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne.

Surah Taubah ayaat 128-129, which are the last verses of that surah.

Your turn next.

I thought, since ''Al Awwal'' is the name of Allah :swt: so it should be the answer.

"Al-Akhir" is also a name of Allah ta'ala, so how about Rabi-al-akhir etc.

I've given a big hint in my previous post. It's my favourite month

Nope.

Two months have been excluded. Now we have only ten. It is our favourite month too.

Shawal = Raised and Allah is the Al-Rafa' the Exalter or Al-Alali (The Exalted)

But you are saying our favourite month so Ramadan but I'm not seeing a connection to Allah (SWT) names, only maybe the Kareem? The month of generosity

It's 'al thani' as well.

Prophet ‏:saws: said: “Rajab is the month of Allah :swt: ,Sha`ban is my month, and Ramadan is the month of my Ummah.”

Your hint: ''my month'' then it's 'shaban'

Allah ta'ala has more than 99 names. Even in the Qur'an there are plenty of names which are other than the famous 99 names.

There's a hadith, the interpretation of which is: "Don't just say Ramadhan because Ramadhan is a name of Allah. Say the month of Ramadhan."

However scholars say we are not obligated to say "the month of Ramadhan" everytime since most of us are not aware it's the name of Allah.
