He was the famous king in Islamic history. Coincidently The Name of his servant and currency of the country was same.
Q: what was the name of the servant..?
Hint:
the King is still known as ' the righteous khalifa'.
His wife's name was Fatima.
The king and fifth rightly guided caliph was Umar Ibn Abdul Aziz, may Allah be pleased with him.
The currency at the time was dinar, but I don’t know the name of his servant.
I came across mention of someone called Malik ibn Dinar, who was the son of a Persian slave called Dinar, but couldn’t find a mention of his father Dinar.
There was also someone called Abdullah Ibn Dinar, who was a narrator in some ahadith, who it seems was one of the servants of Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both). As Umar Ibn Abdul Aziz was a great grandson of Umar Ibn al Khattab (may Allah be pleased with them both), maybe there is a connection with Abdullah ibn Dinar through that?
