they sound just like pimsleur's arabic course?

It could be.

I originaly downloaded it from a website, the downloads are used by several free online Arabic lesson sites. I merely combined them into a single location and placed them on Put file then uploaded in a downloadable format..

Which form of Arabic would you suggest learning?

When I was in school my Spanish was taught from the Cuban dialect. I found that it was much different than the dialect used by Mexicans. Being that I'll have little communication with Cubans, but daily communication with Mexicans, I wish that I hadn't learned Spanish via a Cuban.

What would people suggest for a person living in the USA? Which Arabic dialect would be most beneficial?

I would suggest the Saudi Dialect. One reason is because that is more in line with the Qur'anic and also because if you learn to read the Saudi, you can read any dialect, although the word pronunciations will differ. The only reason I would suggest a local dialect is if a person were to spend some time in that locale.

:X i totally 4got about this thread... i've downloaded only 12 files so far..

If you missed some of the downloads mention here which ones and I will redo them on yousendit.com for downloading.

i'm sorry...i just realise this thread...

sorry if i'm a slug...

anyone please upload one for me...hehee....my arabic is very very bad....

I hope all will forgive me. I had gotten side tracked and didn't realise how long it has been since I had put the lessons up for down loading. I will begin uploading them onto my yousentit.com account again and reposting them. They are slow uploading so it will only be 2 to 5 per day. Each will be downloadable for 14 days from the date they are posted. I'll restart from lesson 1 and redo the series. Please be patient, it will be tomorrow before the first group is finished uploading.

thank you so much...but it takes time for me to d/load.

jazakallahukhayr...

Keep in mind these lessons are audio and are conversational Arabic. The pronunciations will differ from the Beautifull recitations of the Qur'an. Use these as a guide for language understanding only. also the work book is not available. However, it is not essential, to learning the daily conversational Arabic.

Here are more lessons. The link for these will expire on August 21
