Sayang sekali, masa saya ke Pulau Dayang Bunting tahun 1994, saya terlupa ambil gambar itu. Mungkin kerana terpegun!!
Unfortunately, when I went to Pregnant Maiden ISland in 1994, I forgot to take that pic. Maybe because I was stunned of it!!

I went there about ten years ago. I nearly took a dive in the island's lake but when someone told about the legend and the white crocodile that is supposed to live in the depths of the lake I totally ditched my plan for a swim. Still, the place is beautiful and serene.

White croc? I wonder why my tourist guide didnt mention that? From what I've known, all the visitors are obliged to wear life jacket because the lake was sooooo deep.

Did your boat stop in the middle of the sea... to show the pregnant maiden figure?

I think thats just tahayul/churofat thats believed by the society there. Just like in Indonesia, some of them believe "buaya putih" is a shape of siluman (the devil).

But I dont know if really theres white crocodile there Allahu a'lam. But if its true, of course at least theres a warning from the government right? It will be too dangerous and too careless if theres no warning. I never go there but if I go oneday surely I will swim. Deeper is better isnt it :D

Tapi tak tahulah ape benar-benar ade buaya putih disana Allahu a'lam.
Btw...I loved talking about food than this :D :giggling:

Oooh....tersilap pula
Oooh I made a mistake

Tadi saya maksudkan program itulah, Jalan Jalan Cari Makan.
I had meant that program earlier, Jalan Jalan Cari Makan

Dulu masa di Malaysia saya suka menonton Program 'Misteri Nusantara'
juga Jejak Rasul........tapi saya kadang kadang ragulah tengok apa yang ditayangkan on that Jejak Rasul :?

:sl:
Yes right, I think jejak rasul tuu took the wrong references.

White crocodile could be an albino crocodile... not "suliman" :)

Indonesians watch "Jejak Rasul" too...? But this year Ramadan's "Jejak Rasul" was not so exciting. I prefer the first one.

Ten years ago, they didn't have a boat to carry tourists around in the lake. And again, it's just a local legend. It's been ten years since I last visited the island. Maybe the legend died somehow.

Of course. The tourist guide showed us the shape of the hills (banjaran=?) as similar to a figure of a pregnant woman, lying on her back.

Ah. My favourite brother 4rm from Malay is here.

Is it not the crocodile thing similar to the legend of the Loch Ness monster?

In contrast, the white crocodile doesn't receive any kind of media attention, not even from tabloids. I'm guessing it's a local legend that is traditionally transmitted orally. No one has seen it nor does anyone has taken photos of it.

Do you believe in local legend?

p.S it is well past my bedtime. See you tommorow.

Yes, thats what I mean if theres really white crocodile in the lake. But here, its well known as siluman (not suliman). Which khoooooto' of course

Ilmu Hitam wujud, bukan?
But some black magic practitioner can change themselves into a tiger, crocodile, snake ... just like MANIMAL!!! Black magic does exist, isnt it?

Of course it does exist, I dont know if it can be so strong until a person can take the shape of an animal??

(sorry BM translation not available)

Black magic can be make it appear that the natural laws (the laws of Allah) to be bended, but up to only certain extent where Allah permitted it so. But in the end all practitioners of magic who haven't repented will be punished severely by Allah, if not in this world, the after.

Poin yang bernas
A good point.
