Wa alaykum as salaam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh,

The words "Tuflihuun" & "Tifl" have different roots.

Tuflihuun ( تفلحون ) is derived from the verb: افلح (Af-la-ha) which means To thrive, prosper, To have luck or success.

Tifl is spelt differently > طفل < so they have no connection between them whatsoever!

i don't know what it actually means, but its like what you say when someone compliments you. i dont think its just for compliments though, i cant think of any other examples.

what is the difference between madeh and hamd. is it true that madeh is an statement meaning an exaggerated praise towards a person, whereas al hamd is a statement of praise exclusive to allah.

I think its amazing how the word for success and the word for farmer come from the same root word. flh. I am only guessing, but we reap what we sow. Thats what farmers do .... is there any connection as such? Do Arabs play with words like this in poetry?

SubhaanAllaah, Well spotted akhee. I dont know whether they have a connection but they definitely come from the same root word.

أعتصم A'tasim comes from I'tasama which means: To cling, adhere. Like in the ayaah "wa'tasimuu bi'hablillaahi jamee'-anw wa laa tafarraquu.." And hold fast altogether to the rope of God, and do not be divided among yourselves.

الكيس If you mean Al-Kayyis as mentioned in the Hadith "Al Kayyis man daana nafsahu wa 'amila limaa ba'dal mawt". Then Al-Kayyis here is; the one who takes himself to account and bases his actions on what comes after death (ie; a smart person).

صنع / Sana'a. Its most commons meanings are; To do, To work, To produce.

نحوه / Na7wihi? Depends on the context of the Jumlah. The word "Nahw" has a few meanings. Ie; Towards , In direction of, Similar, Like, roughly, about.
and with the "haa" at the end, it either means "him" or "it" so you'd just have to use whichever fits. :)

I also need the meanings of (sorry, it's a little long):
استحقاقا (as far as i know it means competence, but this meaning dosn't seem to fit the context of the jumlah)
الانحناء
البقاء
الدوام (as far as i know these two words have to do with eternal exsistance, however, what is the difference exactly).
طيب (I looked this up, and found out that it means good. but can it also mean pure, as that was my initial assumption)

Wa Iyyaaki sis. Cause I dont have the Jumlah its harder for me to give you the exact words that fit the context. So inshaAllaah Im going to give you a number of meanings so you could see whichever fits better?

استحقاقا - Isti7qaaqan vindication, worthiness, merit.

لانحناء - Al-In7inaa' bow, curtsy.

البقاء - Al-Baqaa'; remaining, staying, continuance, duration, eternal life, permanence.

الدوام- Ad-Dawaam; duration, continuance, permanance, endurance, preservance.

طيب as in Tayyib or Tiyb? Tayyib: good, pleasant, agreeable.

Tiyb; scent, perfume.

الصوابAs-Sawaab; that which is right, proper, right, correctness.

التجئ ? Allaahu a'lam.

مستنفرة- Mustanfirah

like in qawlihi ta'aalaa: "ka'annahum humurum-mustanfirah" : mustanfirah; frightened.

يعى - Ya'i; To hold (s.th) to comprise, contain retain in one's memory, know, know by heart?

فرت like in qawilihii Ta'aalaa : "Farrat min-qaswarah.." Fleeing from a hunter( or a lion, or a beast of prey)..

Farrat comes from the verb فر - Farra which means To Flee.

yes, thats also it! Also, is the word farrat exclusive to fleeing from a beasts of prey. or does it mean fleeing in general.

There isn't much difference between the two, Al-Baqaa' is more remaining And Ad-Dawaam is commonly used as continuance.
It could mean that the Tahiyyah itself is forever conitnuing and remaining?
Which book is this ta'reef from, maybe I can read it up inshaAllaah.

i just looked this word up (as it didn't seem to fot the context of the ayah) and it means (unless there are multiple meanings) wearied.:sunny:

also, i just wanted to double check that the following is the right translation(please also check for spelling errors):
اللهم اعد مسجد الاصى الى بلاد المسلمين
O allah, return Masjid Al-Aqsaa to the hands of the muslims
