Thank you and no, we did not get through the Library of Congress, although we did walk by it on our way to Union Station for lunch :D

We scheduled 5 days in D.C. but it still wasn't enough to hit everything we wanted to. There was a full Library tour available but your Congressman needed to seek approval for you to get it, just like the Capitol building.

wow.. I was just in DC well for three months actually, at the miserable GW
did you go to the old stone house in G town? it was so lovely to walk through, except for the flies and bugs of course.. they have this cute little shop, where I got my niece a civil war bonnet and my nephew some toy soldiers...

sob7an Allah.. what a small world

:w:

pls don't mind me sharing pix of the old stone house to add to the whole DC experience..
these aren't my own.. don't want to share private pix but want others to enjoy it as much as I did without the bugs and th stuffy odor

Unfortunately no, we did not get to GTown at all. We thought we had booked enough time to get to everywhere we wanted to go but the days just went by so fast. Bugs were not so much an issue as the heat when I was there.

They were relaxing inside that day, it was VERY warm. Otherwise they had a very big outside area with trees, water and everything else.

Thank you. I used my Canon 1DsMKII, which is my favorite camera so far.

^ wow mashAllah thats some nice camera!

The camera i use is a sony cybershot dsc t20, small not to expensive and does the job.

Urs looks much more like a pro camera is it not?

Yes, it is in Canon's pro line. I picked it up last March before I photographed an assignment here in Milwaukee. Big and heavy but it's quality is tough to beat.

Great shots can be made with small cameras as well, it is all about composition.

Ahhh that camera is gorgeous... sigh. Bit out of my price range, though, lol.

Thanks and yeah, not entirely too cheap. The 1DsMKIII version is going for arounf $8000 new right now, I got the MKII version for far less than that but still was pretty expensive. But getting paid to do weddings, families and events justifies the cost and pays for it to :statisfie

Yeah, definitely. Even if I did buy one, it would be way more than what I need.. But it would still be fun to play around with a 1Ds, though...

:sl: sister (¯¨›Åÿê§h勨¯) good seeing u back:)

And nice pictures, which park is that? Is that the one near birmingham?

As some of you may have heard on the news, we have had to contend with some flooding around this part of the U.S.. The pics below are from earlier in the month when we received THREE times our monthly average in rain in only three days. A small river runs near our home and quickly over ran the road.

We were fine here, aside form some water in the basement but nothing major. Many people are not quite so fortunate and have lost their homes and their livelihoods. Inshallah may all those affected be able to start over.
