    Hadeeth of the day (OP)

    As salaam alekum ( Peace be upon you)

    Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:

    I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--

    (1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),

    (2) to follow funeral processions,

    (3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),

    (4) to return greetings,

    (5) to help the oppressed,

    (6) to accept invitations,

    (7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

    A Nice Hadith on Charity.

    Abu Hurayrah (Radhi Allahu Anhu) narrated the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said,

    “A man said, "Tonight, I shall give charity.'' He went out with his charity and (unknowingly) gave it to an adulteress. The next morning the people said that alms were given to an adulteress. The man said, "O Allah! All the praises are for You. (I gave my alms) to an adulteress. Tonight, I shall give alms again.'' He went out with his charity and (unknowingly) gave it to a rich person. The next morning (the people) said, "Last night, a wealthy person was given alms.'' He said, "O Allah! All the praises are for You. (I gave alms) to a wealthy man. Tonight, I shall again give charity.'' So he went out with his charity and (unknowingly) gave it to a thief. The next morning (the people) said, "Last night, a thief was given alms.'' He said, "O Allah! All the praises are for You. (I have given alms) to an adulteress, a wealthy man and a thief.'' Then, someone came to him and said, "The alms that you gave away were accepted. As for the adulteress, the alms might make her abstain from adultery. As for the wealthy man, it might make him take a lesson and spend his wealth that Allah has given him. As for the thief, it might make him abstain from stealing.''”

    Hazrat Abu Ayyub Khalid bin Zaid Al-Ansari (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man came to Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) and said, "Direct me to a deed which will admit me to Jannah and take me away from the Fire". The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Worship Allah and associate no partner with Him, perform As-Salat, pay Zakat, and maintain the ties of kinship".

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

    Al-Bayhaqi narrated that Abu Dharr said: I said, “O Messenger of Allaah, what will save a person from Hellfire?”
    He (may peace and blessing of Allaah be upon him) said, “Belief in Allaah.”
    I said, “O Messenger of Allaah, are there are any deeds that should accompany that belief?”
    He said, ‘He should give from that provision which Allaah has granted him.”
    I said, “O Messenger of Allaah, what if he is poor and does not have anything to give?”
    He said, “He should enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil.”
    I said, “O Messenger of Allaah, what if he cannot enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil?”
    He said, “He should help the one who is helpless (i.e., has no skills and cannot earn a learning).”
    I said, “What if he himself is helpless and cannot do anything?”
    He said, “He should help one who has been wronged.”
    I said, “What if he is weak and cannot help one who has been wronged?”
    He said, “You do not want to think of your companion as having any good in him. Let him refrain from harming people.”
    I said, “O Messenger of Allaah, if he does that, will he enter Paradise?”
    He said, “There is no believer who does not strive to acquire one of these characteristics, but I will take him by the hand and lead him into Paradise.”

    Re: Hadeeth of the day

    The Prophet said: "Avoid the seven great destructive sins." They (the people) asked, "O Allah's Messenger! What are they?" He said,

    "To join partners in worship with Allah,

    to practise sorcery;

    to kill the life which Allah has forbidden except for a just cause (according to Islamic law);

    to eat up Riba' (usury);

    to eat up the property of an orphan;

    to show one's back to the enemy and fleeing from the battle-field at the time of fighting and

    to accuse chaste women who never even think of anything touching their chastity and are good believers."

    Hadith - Bukhari 8:840, Narrated Abu Huraira
