Or perhaps a case of 'too much religion'???
That's exactly what I was thinking. These seem to be very ancient religions, on the rise again. Kind of like the incident where a mother drowned her kids in the tub because... God told her to do it. I've often speculated that these people had mistaken a Jinn for God or an Angel of God. But they obviously didn't question them as well as they should have.
People had told me that the one I met was the Angel of Death, so I naturally assumed I was going to die - why else would I see an Angel of Death? But when I confronted him, he told me he was just a scribe who wrote a Torah during the days of the Babylonian exile. That was one heck of a misunderstanding, and I documented the whole of it, but I naturally wonder how much misunderstanding goes on in the world over this type of thing?
